The Weymouth Woods 25k/50k will be held on April 4, 2026 at Weymouth Woods -Sandhills Nature Preserve. The race will be held on a course consisting of trails filled with roots and sand covered by a canopy of long leaf pine trees.
A well stocked aid station will be at the start/finish. This is a cupless event. Runners must provide their own bottles, flasks, reusable cups, etc. Runners will have plenty of room to set up small personal aid stations/chairs/drop bags if needed.
All runners will receive a t-shirt and all finishers will receive a finisher's medal. T-shirts will not be mailed if a runner does not attend the event. There will be no refunds and deferments will be handled on a case by case basis. Register by 3/8/26 to be guaranteed your requested t-shirt size.
Clockwork Race Timing will provide electronic timing.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Friends of Weymouth Woods.
Runners must register by March 8th to be guaranteed their shirt size. We will do our best to get runners who register after that date the shirt size of their choosing but we will not be able to guarantee it.
COVID GUIDELINES
In accordance with the Governor's Executive Order #210, dated April 29, 2021, outdoor gatherings are restricted to 200 people. Should the field increase to exceed that number, additional guidelines will be listed here, and an e-mail will be sent out to all registered participants. Additionally, the same Order also specified that face masks are not required for outdoor activities. We will update any further changes to those guidelines as they occur.

Pedal for Paratroopers – Tri-Distance Charity Bicycle Ride
Pedal for Paratroopers is a Tri-Distance Charity Bicycle Ride welcoming cyclists of all ages and skill levels to ride in support of those who serve. This is a rain or shine event focused on community, service, and the enduring Airborne spirit — All the Way.
Beneficiary
All proceeds and donations benefit the All American Adventure Program, which promotes resilience and mental health for at-risk active-duty Paratroopers and Veterans of the 82nd Airborne Division. The program provides access to counseling resources and restorative outdoor experiences such as kayaking, hiking, and equine therapy.

Safety Information
Tail lights and Helmets are required for all riders and must be ANSI- or CPSC-approved.
This is an open-road ride. Riders must obey all traffic laws and ride safely at all times.
SAG trail vehicles will follow the last rider on each route to provide support as needed.

The Sandhills Sasquatch is a repetitive 1-mile loop around the scenic Weymouth Woods Boyd Tract Loop in Southern Pines, NC. The route is a well maintained and well-marked trail that take you around the beautiful Weymouth Center property and past the oldest known living Long Leaf Pine Tree, estimated to be over 470 years old.
The race is simple, complete as many 1-mile loops as you can in 4- hours! Or register for the three loop 5K option.

This is a self-paced event. For the 4-hour option, run as many miles as you can in the prescribed time or until you decide to stop. The runner that covers the most distance in the prescribed time is declared the winner. Runners are allowed to run, walk, and rest as needed for the duration of the event. Laps will be recorded by the race organizers. The event organizer will have an aid station set up at the start finish line with water, Gatorade, and snacks. Participants can set up personal tents, tables, and aid stations in the park area by the start finish. The 5K option is three loops along the same course with a 1-hour cutoff time. 5K runners are welcome to continue laps and opt into the full challenge at any time if they choose.
There will be prizes for the top male and female for both the 4-hour and 5K events.
Participants will receive an official race t-shirt and finishing medal. T-shirts cannot be guaranteed for registrations after October 12, 2026.
