Come enjoy a spring weekend in the North Carolina sandhills. Spend an extra day on one of the many 5-star golf courses that define Pinehurst as one of the golf meccas on the east coast. 20th Annual 24-Hour Race

    VENUE:

    Hinson Lake, Rockingham, North Carolina

    RULES:

This event will be electronically timed. All participants will be issued a bib/chip which must be worn at all times to guarantee that all completed laps and splits are recorded. There will be a chute for runners only and if you will be taking a break, you will be asked to steer clear of the lap counting area.

    COURSE:

The course is the 1.5032-mile inner loop that circles the lake. It is a USATF certified course with certification code NC14103DF. The surface is sand/gravel-maintained trail through the woods. You will run over 16 small wooden foot bridges including a 300-foot bridge that crosses over the lake. The trail will be marked on race day and will use chem-lights at night.

    PACERS:

In an effort to prevent overcrowding on the trail, all pacers must be registered entrants.

    PARKING:

To allow access to emergency vehicles, parking along the entrance road will be restricted to East side only (on your left as you enter the facility). The main parking area at the lodge has limited parking space and is first come/first serve. With that said, if you are not planning to stay on the trail for the entire 24 hours, I ask that you park either in the South parking lot which has access from Crow Run, on both sides of Crow Run or at the Moose Lodge located on Crow Run. There are also RV camping spaces at the Moose Lodge which is free but donations are accepted. Remember to lock your vehicle and do not leave valuables in plain sight!

    THE START:

The event starts at the foot bridge of the dam in the main parking lot. Start time is 8:00 AM.

    AWARDS:

    The following will receive awards:

24 Hour 1st Place Overall Male Participant

There is a no refund policy. All entries are non-transferrable and there are no deferrals.

Race participant cut-off is 500. Once the cut-off has been reached there will be an option to add your name to a wait list. We will begin activating names from the wait list once the number of entrants drops below 500. When your waitlist entry has been activated, you will have 48 hours to register before the link expires.

If you are registered and for any reason cannot attend, please contact me so those on the wait list will have a chance to participate.
