9:40AM Little Leprechaun Dash | 10AM St. Paddy's Day 5k

Start a new family St. Patty's Day tradition with the St. Paddy's Day 5k, presented by Benton Roofing! Luckily, we have a race for everyone! Embrace the green and dress in your St. Paddy's best for a morning at Trailside Brewing in Hendersonville, NC!

The Little Leprechaun dash is a .25 mile total untimed sprint for kiddo's that includes a finisher medal and race bib.

The 5k is family friendly and welcomes all ages and abilities!

A finisher medal, race shirt, chip timing, 1 Trailside beer (21+) or N/A beverage, and donation to Mills River Partnership are included in the 5k race registration.

Dogs & Stroller Policy

Strollers are welcome we just ask that you start at the back of the pack! Dogs are welcome at the brewery but are not allowed to join runners during the race. See Course Map section for more info!

The STAR Race is one of the biggest fundraisers to support the Henderson County Sheriff's Office's STAR Camp. STAR Camp is a three-day camp focused on building relationships between deputies and rising 6th graders. Aproximately 500 kids will be invited to camp. This camp is community supported and funded. This is a non-sanctioned trail run/walk. A clock will be available, but times will not be recorded. Thank you for supporting STAR Camp and the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office.

Event details and schedule

The course used is the existing cross country course for Rugby Middle School. It consist of flat fields, rolling hills and wooded trails. Registration/Check-In will begin at 7:00 a.m. Fun Run will begin at 7:30 a.m. and 5K will begin at 08:00 a.m. This is a Rain or Shine Event.

Trailside Brewing at Lennox Station, Hendersonville, NC | June 27, 2026

10k Race Start 8AM | 5k Race Start 8:15AM | Sunshine Kids Sprint 7:45AM

This summer we're kicking off the season at Trailside Brewing at Lennox station with a 10k & 5k! Both courses start in front of Trailside and take runners on the Ecusta Trail! Courses are an out-and-back all on the trail. The Ecusta Trail is a beautiful new greenway that was transformed from a rail line.

We've also added a kids' .25 mile Sunshine Sprint untimed event before the 10k and 5k! The Sunshine Sprint is $10 and includes a finisher medal and race bib. There are not awards for the Sunshine Sprint. Sunshine Sprinters can add on shirts during the check out process for $20.

A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Mills River Partnership.
