    Experience one of the oldest road runs in North Carolina. Except for the 2020 year due to the pandemic, the

    event has been held annually since 1979. Come be part of a running event with a long tradition and enjoy a run

    or walk on a USATF certified course primarily along streets lined with azaleas and dogwoods. Participants can

    enjoy The Hub as well as the further extensions of the Streetscape improvements to Center Street. Our

    volunteers will observe safety precautions as necessary to facilitate another excellent event.

    The Run for a Child – 47th Annual Greater Goldsboro Road Run is facilitated by the Sunrise Kiwanis of

    Goldsboro. The event is a fundraiser to help support our purpose of assisting the children and youth of our

    community. The funds generated from event sponsorships and participants go toward financial support for over

    20 local organizations that assist the needy children and youth of Wayne County.

    Our 10K run, 5K Run/Walk, and 1-mile Fun Run routes are downtown again this year. The starting locations

    for all events will be near The Hub located at the Southeast intersection of Center and Chestnut Streets

    downtown in Goldsboro NC with all starting times beginning at 9:00 AM.

    Registration and Pre-Registration: The Hub, 200 S. Center St., Southeast corner of S. Center Street and W.Chestnut Street downtown Goldsboro.

    ENTRY FEES:

    5K Walk, 5K Run, 10K Run

    $30.00 pre-registration, $40.00 - race day registration.

    1 Mile Fun Run

    $20.00 pre-registration/$15.00 each for 2 or more members of same immediate family.

    Deadline for on-line pre-registration is 11:00 PM, Wednesday, March 25, 2026. On-line registration will re-open on

    race day at 12:01 AM. Hard copy pre-registration ends at 5:00 PM, Thursday, March 26, 2026.

    Race day pre-registration pickup begins at 7:00 AM.

    First Place – Trophy

    Second Place – Silver Medallion

    Third Place – Bronze Medallion

    First Three Places in each age group – Medallion

    1 Mile Fun Run

    Medal for each participant

    TIMING: Electronic bib timing by Run the East LLC. All pre-registered entrants can pick up registration packs at check-in the morning of the run.

    Race t-shirts are provided to all participants that pre-register.

    Shirt sizes are available in Youth Small, Medium, and Large and Adult Small, Medium, Large, and XL.

    Notes: Participant registration packs can also be picked up from 5:30–6:00PM on Friday, March 27th at the downtown Goldsboro Fire Department – garage entrance that faces out to The Hub. Please let us know if you plan early pick-up.

    5K run through residential streets in Goldsboro, NC. The race will start and finish at Wayne School of Engineering. The course has a few small hills to enjoy but is mostly flat. The Titan-Up 5K is an annual fundraiser for Wayne School of Engineering organized by the WSE PTO to purchase classroom materials and to support student scholastic and athletic activities.

    Please consider making a donation even if you are unable to race with us this year!

    Fees:

    5K Early Registration: $25 (Race T-shirt included; must register by March 15, 2026, for T-Shirt)

    5K Late Registration (after March 15): $35 (no T-Shirt)

    Fun Run: $15 (No T-Shirt)
