    We are excited to open up our Course Preview to all participants of the Harepin Hustle Trail Runs! Whether you are getting out your pre-race nerves, working on your pacing, or looking to meet new running friends, you are invited to join us for ~3 or 5 Miles of the course (the new 286 portion of the course)!

    We will have some of our trail coaches and mentors there to help you through, as well as hydration and snacks! Meet at and get a taste of the race in this casual pace run.

    The course will not be marked but we will have pace group leaders and will follow the trails.

    Meet at the 286 trailhead on Old Reedy Creek Rd. The closest address is across the gravel road (2232 Old Reedy Creek Rd, Cary, NC 27513).

    Fit & Able is proud of our tenth year of running the Cary Greenways Half-marathon with 5K, 10K, and 13.1 races. Choose your challenge! Run the trails you love but get timed! This race is capped so sign up soon! Participants have a window during which to start the race of their choice and have until 11:00 AM to finish. The half-marathon turnaround point closes at 9:30 AM.

    BUT have you ever wanted to run a marathon without having to actually run a marathon? With the Greenways Series 26.2 you can do just that when you sign up for both 13.1 races at the Cary Greenways Half-marathon and Cary Greenways Tour. Complete both races and we will combine your finish times to give you a 26.2 finish time with an extra set of awards!

    OR, how about an ultra-marathon? Complete all five Fit & Able 13.1 races - a combined total of 65.5 miles! - and again we will combine your finish times for yet another extra set of awards!

    Mutts & Marshmallows was able to do so much for helping abandoned dogs that we wanted to have another dog-friendly event in the Triangle to support Second Chance Pet Adoptions. Plus, runners really enjoyed the opportunity to race with their four-legged friends and Pups & Pastries is a fun way to help “combat animal homelessness"

    Fit & Able loves family fitness and whose four-legged furry friend isn't part of the family? Dog owners are welcome to run with their pups in the Doggie Dash 5K and Doggie Dash 6.5 Mile! For only $10 per pup it will be happy trails for both runners and their dogs. AND, the full $10 dog fee goes to support Second Chance Pet Adoptions!

    Give An Animal a Second Chance to Find Love

    Second Chance Pet Adoptions is the oldest no-kill animal rescue organization in the Triangle and as of February 2021, over 15,000 lives have been saved by our staff and volunteers. Today, Second Chance operates out of a facility that holds 120 animals and welcomes over 3,500 visitors per year. All of these programs are enabled by the generous support of the community.
