The White Lake Half is celebrated as one of the fastest HALF-IRON courses in the United States (1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, 13.1-mile run), drawing athletes eager to set a personal record. The race begins and ends at The Grand Regal at Goldston’s Beach, right in the heart of White Lake, North Carolina. Participants will start by swimming in White Lake’s famously clear waters, then transition to a flat, two-loop bike course with smooth, speedy roads. The run portion features a double out-and-back route, also flat and fast, with partial shade for added comfort.

Located in Southeastern North Carolina, White Lake isn’t just a race venue—it’s a scenic resort community brimming with attractions. Visitors can choose from a wide range of accommodations, including lakefront and non-lakefront apartments, cottages, hotels, and motels, as well as camping and RV sites. Dining options abound, from cozy breakfast cafés to fresh seafood restaurants. For those who love the water, White Lake offers jet skiing, water skiing, wakeboarding, and more.

The lake’s pristine sandy bottom and crystal-clear waters, fed by natural springs, have earned it the title “The Nation’s Safest Beach.” With no currents, tides, or sudden drops, it’s ideal for family fun—whether you’re basking on the shore or relaxing in the shade. Our host venue once again is the totally refurbished Grand Regal @ Goldston's Beach.

Goldston's Beach was the original race site for the first White Lake Triathlon in 1996, but the new Goldston's Beach doesn't look anything like it did in the 90s.

The Grand Regal @ Goldston's Beach not only offers a beautiful white sandy beach but a number of amenities from the full service restaurant and bar, to the sandwich shop, or from the huge arcade to the miniature golf course, and a brand new kids playground and splash pad.

The Grand Regal @ Goldston's Beach on the shores of White Lake, is a fantastic place to spend a spring weekend.

Our race site, Goldston's Beach was the original race site-when White Lake was first staged in 1996 and has now been re-branded as The Grand Regal @ Goldston's Beach.

The White Lake Fall International will be conducted on Saturday and the Double Sprint will be on Sunday.
