Sarett Spring Stampede Race Information

The Spring Stampede will offer an in-person "LIVE" race option for 2026

The funds raised from this event will help Sarett Nature Center continue to provide environmental education programs for over 25,000 school children each year.

At 8:30 am, the kids’ 1-mile fun run will start. $1 is the entry fee for the fun run and all participants will receive a finisher’s ribbon. You can drop off your entry form at Sarett or mail it to: Mike Mahler at Sarett Nature Center, 2300 Benton Center Rd., Benton Harbor, MI 49022. You can also register on-line at https://runsignup.com/sarettspringstampede .

Race packets and t-shirts can be picked up at the nature center on Thursday and Friday, April 2nd & 3rd from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and on race morning starting at 8:00 am. Members of Sarett Nature Center and the SWMI RACERS receive a $3 discount. The Spring Stampede is a part of the SWMI RACERS Community Race Series.

About This Event

Event Schedule

• Early Packet Pickup on Thursday and Friday, April 2nd & 3rd from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Nature Center)

• Race Day Packet Pickup (Saturday April 4th): 8:00 am

• Kids 1 mile fun run (Saturday April 4th): 8:30 am

• 5K Run and Walk (Saturday April 4th): 9:00 am

Entry Fees

• Early registration fees - $20.00 until March 14th (11:59 pm)

• Registration fees - $25.00 from March 15th until April 2nd (11:59 pm)

• Late Registration fees - $30 on April 3rd and April 4th.

• Same Day Registration will be available for 2026 - Participants must use Cell Phones to register on the Race Site.

• Tee Shirts cannot be guaranteed after March 20th or on Race Day

T-Shirts

• T-Shirts are guaranteed for pre-registration participants before March 20th. T-Shirt availability after March 20th will be on a "first come, first serve basis". Please register early!!

Kids 1 Mile Fun Run

• Kids 1 mile fun run entry fee is $1 and all participants will receive a finisher’s ribbon.

The Midwest Canine Obstacle Run is a 5k run through the trails at The Woods Fitness Park in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Participants will compete in the 5k with their canine partners on leash as they tackle wooded trails, creek beds, dirt and water, along with over 40 obstacles to test teams of all abilities. Run with the best to see how you stack up, or simply enjoy the day with your best friend trying new things and bonding in a beautiful outdoor fitness park. All ages and abilities are encouraged, as this is more about your pups than anything else. There will be finisher medals and hat, award medals, food and beer tent, live music, vendors, overnight camping and much more as you make lifetime memories with your furry friends.
