The Westside Wander
[WW collage.png]
Holland and South Haven are two of Michigan’s most beloved beach towns so we figured, why not connect them?
We’re partnering with the fine folks at Velo City Cycles in Holland for an overnight wander along the west side of our beautiful state. And for this trip, we’re leaning into a couple of our favorite Bs: bikes and BBQ. Saturday night, after our ride into South Haven, we’ll settle in and enjoy some seriously good BBQ.
We’ll be staying at Kal-Haven Outpost – 50 acres of peaceful nature right along the Kal-Haven Trail.
Sunday starts with a pancake breakfast, followed by some time to explore before we roll back toward Holland.
This route is packed with everything we love – scenic trails, quiet dirt roads, and glimpses of Lake Michigan woven between our favorite beach towns. We’ll stop for lunch in Saugatuck on Saturday, then switch things up on Sunday as we head inland, riding through the Allegan State Game Area.
The Westside Wander is the perfect way to get your fix of Michigan’s summer beauty.

WHAT'S THE STORY?
Lots of details on our website, http://www.holland100.com.
The Holland 100 has several different routes: The 17 mile route goes to our pancake breakfast stop and back. All other routes include the pancake breakfast, as well as additional stop(s) and food.
Children 4-16 are half price, and children 3 and under ride free. Trailers are welcome. Children are required to stay with a responsible adult for the duration of the ride.
All riders must be registered, for liability issues. Both riders on a tandem, for example, must register and pay.
The Holland 100 remains a self-start tour. We actively encourage more competitive and fast-paced riders (those at 18mph+ averages) to start early (close to 7:00 a.m.) in order to be ahead of more leisurely cyclists.
FINE PRINT
Due to commitments made to our charity beneficiaries we are unable to refund any registration or merchandise fees for any reason. Please know that your dollars are going to many worthy organizations in West Michigan and nationwide.

Nestled in the heart of Middleville, Michigan, is the beautiful YMCA Camp Manitou Lin. It is one of the best venues in the area for tri-sport. A beautiful sandy beach start from the shores of Barlow Lake, to a breathtaking ride through the rolling hills of the surrounding countryside to an out & back run along the lakeshore, this is a must-do event for every triathlete. Positioned as a boutique event, entry is limited so we can offer great SWAG for everyone, generous transition space and cash prizes not only for the winners but also for 2 lucky random drawings. Tri Millennium is one of West Michigan's longest-standing multi-sport events and a favorite among many local athletes. Located in the beautiful Millennium Park in Grand Rapids, MI, Tri Millennium offers an Olympic and Sprint distance triathlon, duathlon, and aquabike. Our Olympic race features a 1,500-meter swim, 24.8-mile bike, and 6.2-mile run. Our Sprint distance race features a 750-meter swim, 12.4-mile bike, and 3.1-mile run. Relay options are available for both races.
The inland waters of Millennium Park are typically calm and pleasant, the surrounding roads follow the rolling terrain for the bike course, and the paved trails through the park are flat and fast, making Tri Millennium a great race for the elite athlete looking for a summer "A" race, a beginner athlete looking to complete their first triathlon, or a primer race for those prepping for the MiTi half or full triathlon later in August. With professional timing from Trivium Racing and a full complement of volunteers and support on race day, Tri Millennium is a race for everyone.
Tri Millennium's charity partner is Bridge Street Ministries, a Christian urban youth ministry in Grand Rapids' West Side, working to support the spiritual, academic, and social development of inner-city youth, leading them with a vision of hope and restoration and believing that they will be the future leaders of our community. 100% of the donations from Tri Millennium will go to support this important work. Before we jump into this year’s preview, let’s be clear about one thing: this 5K includes trails. Yes, trails. Consider this your official trail disclaimer.
We are excited to return to our original setup, starting and finishing on the high school track. There is nothing better than beginning inside the stadium and closing out your race with a strong lap on the track. Fast start. Fast finish. Wildcat style.
Because of ongoing construction in several areas around campus, this year’s exact route is still being finalized. Our team is designing a fun and adventurous course that embraces the spirit of this event. The finalized course map will be reviewed and posted soon.
You can expect a mix of surfaces that keeps things interesting. Portions of the trail, including dirt and grass. Some road sections to let you open up your stride. A combination that reflects cross-country grit with just enough pavement to stay fast.
This is not a pure road race. It is not a straight cross-country course either. It is a Wildcat Road & trail 5K, which means natural terrain, changing rhythm, and a course that rewards focus and effort.
And yes, in case you missed it, there will be a trail.
We will have food and drinks waiting for you at the finish line on the track. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the course. The event will be held rain or shine, though delays or cancellations may occur in the case of dangerous weather. No refunds will be issued.
So lace up your running shoes, trail-ready is encouraged, and get ready.
The trails are calling. And this year, they start and end at home.

Join the No Surrender Running Club for its 5k & 10k race + 1 Mile Fun Run and celebrate movement as a community! The event will start and end at the Kroc Center and follow the Plaster Creek Trail.
For over 10 years, No Surrender Running Club has been the only West Michigan organization that builds and expands access to movement for all by breaking down barriers to sport and play. By doing this, No Surrender knows it can empower youth, strengthen families, connect communities, and build representation in sport. With its first ever race, No Surrender aims to center communities of color, break down barriers to participation in running events, create a fun environment where community members can move alongside one another, and build representation in running.
We're so excited to see you run, walk, or roll at the only race in 49507!
