    📅 Saturday, June 13, 2026

    📍 [Location TBD]

    🧠 Men’s Mental Health Week

The huMAN 5K is more than a race—it’s a movement.

Held during Men’s Mental Health Week, this community 5K brings people together to break silence, reduce stigma, and raise critical funds for men’s mental health programming through The huMAN Project.

Men are often taught to endure quietly. This run creates space to move, feel, and connect—for ourselves, for the men we love, and for those who never felt safe asking for help.

    🏃🏽‍♂️ What to Expect

A timed 5K run/walk open to all fitness levels

A powerful Opening Circle grounding the day in intention

A community-built huMAN Wall, where participants share one word they’re running from and one word they’re running toward

Post-race connection, music, hydration, and resources

    Every step helps fund:

    Free men’s support groups

    Youth emotional literacy programming

    Community healing and outreach initiatives

👥 Run Solo or Join a Team

Participants are encouraged to form teams—gyms, barbershops, families, workplaces, faith groups, and community organizations are all welcome. Team fundraising is a powerful way to multiply impact.

    🎽 Registration Includes

    Official huMAN 5K race shirt

    Timed race bib

    Access to all event activities

The opportunity to run for something bigger than yourself

🧠 This Event Is For Everyone

While centered on men’s mental health, all genders and ages are welcome. If you believe men deserve space to feel, heal, and be fully human—this run is for you.

    📞 Support Matters

If you or someone you love is struggling, help is available.

Get ready to celebrate AFRAM and run for a great cause!

Get ready, Baltimore! The Run Up to Juneteenth (RUTJ) 5K/1-Mile is proud to serve as the official kick-off to AFRAM’s 50th Anniversary—a celebration of culture, history, unity, and joy in our city. This year, we’re moving the race to Druid Hill Park, returning to AFRAM’s original routes and honoring the legacy of the community runs that were part of the festival years ago. And because AFRAM began in 1976, we’re inviting you to throw it back—tube socks, headbands, short shorts, retro vibes and all! Want to go full disco-meets-track-star? We’re here for it. Prefer your usual race-day gear? Perfect. We’ll be awarding a prize for Best 1976 Throwback Outfit, so have fun with it! Most importantly, come ready to move and support SEED students on their journey to college. Let’s make this golden

Race for the Future is Mercy Health Services’ inaugural 5K and 1-mile walk, created to help fuel the Mercy Forever 150th Anniversary Campaign and the We Are 150 employee engagement initiative. The Mercy Forever campaign celebrates 150 years of compassionate care while investing in the next generation of healing services for our community.

Taking place at the Maryland Zoo, this community-wide event brings together patients, caregivers, employees, corporate partners, families, and friends to move with purpose, honoring Mercy’s legacy and ensuring that the mission of Mercy lives on forever.

Proceeds from the Race for the Future will support critical programs and initiatives that expand access to care, advance medical innovation, and strengthen the communities we serve. Every step taken represents a commitment to Mercy’s mission: to heal, to comfort, and to serve those who need us most.

For those who cannot join us in person, we invite you to participate virtually and share in the magic of race day from your own backyard!

Whether you are running the 5K, walking the one-mile course, or participating virtually, the Race for the Future is an invitation to be part of something bigger — a celebration of service, partnership, and 150 years of impact in Baltimore and beyond.
