Weather Cancellations: We try hard to avoid cancelling races due to weather, but sometimes mother nature happens. We will post on our Facebook page (6) Facebook provide updated race information and cancellation notices due to weather.
New Racers: New racers are always welcome. If you are a new racer and/or it is your first time at the series, please feel free to contact the race director with any questions or ask for assistance during registration. The race series is a welcoming environment, and there are many experienced racers at the series who are happy to assist new racers.
The Courses: The races is run on a dedicated cycling track. It has smooth pavement and is very level. It has several corners and flows well.
Licenses and Rules: A USA Cycling license is NOT required. All USA Cycling Rules for helmets apply. No Aero Bars.

The Beer Tent at the 2026 Blessing of the Fleet festival will be strictly 21+ on Friday night. Unfortunately, we will NOT be able to make exceptions to this rule for minors or young children, even if they are accompanied by an adult.

Carver Old Home Day has been a tradition since 1901 providing a day for the community to come together and celebrate the history of our town. Thank you for your interest in the 9th Annual Courtney Roderick Run for Recovery! If you're not able to attend in person, you're welcome to run or walk it virtually.

Cabo Verdean 5K Mission Statement
The Cabo Verdean 5K was founded to support, uplift, and provide resources to individuals with breast cancer, their caregivers, families, and communities across Cabo Verde Islands.
Our goal is to provide medical assistance, donations, equipment and increase awareness, reduce stigma associated with breast cancer; through education, promoting healthy living, early detection, and annual screening.
Our vision is to close the gap in breast cancer care In Cabo Verde Island and open facilities in each Island for breast cancer treatment.

Join us for the Annual Hot to Trot 5k on Saturday, July 26, 2025. This race grows bigger each year, so don’t miss out on all the fun. It’s a mostly flat family-friendly course, a perfect route for seasoned runners looking to PR, for the casual runner that’s in no rush, and for the entire family to take a walk before the day gets too hot! Every registrant will receive a cool performance-wicking t-shirt, breakfast, and maybe even a medal? Awards are given out to top runners, but the biggest hit of the day is our awesome t-shirts! Great Swimming Opportunity for First-time Open Water Swimmers and Experienced Swimmers
The Committee for the Great Salt Pond’s annual swim, The Great Salt Pond Swim 11-2026 will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 on Block Island, Rhode Island. This will be a (1) one mile swim limited to 150 individuals, starting at Andy’s Way Beach, swimming out toward Beane Point, and returning to Andy’s Way Beach. The swimmer registration fee for this event is $60.00, and on-line registration opens on October 1, 2025. This is a great opportunity for first-time open water swimmers and experienced swimmers. The swim course is in a protected area with not much chop. In addition, the swim will take place along a straight line, marked by buoys. This swim is an annual fundraiser, serving to support our efforts to protect The Great Salt Pond.
