Tell City Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and Everbody's Fitness are teaming up to bring you the annual Run from the Cops! This year we will cover 3.38 miles in memory of Sgt. Heather Glenn #338. This is an event that combines fitness, community, and support for our local law enforcement. Join us as we come together to run/walk 3.38 miles in honor of Sgt. Heather Glenn!!
Race date is Saturday, April 18, 2026 beginning at Perry County Sheriff's Office and ending at Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center. Start time for the race is 9:00 a.m. Join us in showing our appreciation for the hardworking men and women who keep our community safe day in and day out. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to stay active, this event is for you! But that's not all - your registration fee directly contributes to initiatives that support our police department's community outreach programs and equipment needs. Come together to make a positive impact and strengthen the bond between our officers and the community they serve.
The race route is fairly flat within the downtown area of Tell City.

Race Day - April 18th
Start Time - 9:00 a.m.
Registration - register thru RunSignUp.com (not tech savvy, then stop at the front desk at Everbody's and they will help with registration)
Fee - $22.00 now thru 4/1; $27.00 after 4/1
Packet pickup - Saturday, 4/18 from 7-8:30 a.m.
Shirt Guarantee - Must register by midnight on 4/1. (Please note: Registrations after 4/1 are not guarantied to receive a shirt).
Lace up those shoes, and join us August 8, 2026 for the 49th running of the Schweizer Fest 2 & 6 Mile Road Run. We feature 2 race distances, both of which go through Tell City's historic downtown area, the heart of Schweizer Fest. Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center is excited to host this event, which is open to runners and walkers of all skill levels. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group and gender. A special award will be given to the top male and female in each of the races. This years awards breakdown is based on 5 year age groups.
The 2 mile course is a fast, flat route in the downtown area. The 6 mile route will take you through downtown before heading to Mozart Street where you will ascend a 1 mile, 200 foot vertical hill with minor grade breaks before you descend on Tell Street, followed by a Main Street finish. Race time for the 6 mile run is 8:00 a.m., with the 2 mile event beginning 5 minutes later. Both start on 7th Street near Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center.
KIDS FUN RUN - At 9:15 a.m. there will be a two block (.25mi) fun run for kids 7 years old and under. They will start at Frostop on Main Street and finish under the balloon near City Hall. All KIDS FUN RUN participants receive a racing bib and ribbon. Best of all, it's free for any child!! No need to register just pick up a running bib at Fulton & Main or the starting line on the day of the race.
Kick off the Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026 festivities with the 14th Annual Everbody's Turkey Trot Fun Run in Tell City, IN. This year's in-person race will offer a 5k (3.1 miles) and a 1-mile distance.

What better way to start the day's festivities than with a short run/walk. The race will start and end at Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center, 710 Fulton Street at 8:30 a.m. Tape the parade(s), prepare the Turkey and come to Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center and run or walk in the Everbody's Turkey Trot Fun Run. The 5k route will take you along the Ohio River before taking you up a short little bump in the road and then flattening out to the finish line. If a 5k distance is not for you then take our shorter 1-mile distance. This is a six block, route within the beautiful downtown area of Tell City, IN. Any race in Tell City has a hill and the 1-mile route is no exception with a 1 block bump. Route map can be found at everbodys.com.
Keep an eye on the Everbody's Turkey Trot Facebook page and race page at everbodys.com for daily challenges between Nov 19th and the 25th. Dress up in your favorite turkey outfit, send us a photo, and you could win a fabulous gift!!
This year medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group (broken down into 10 year age groups). All registered participants who register for the fun run will receive a unisex shirt. Register by noon on Nov. 3rd to have a shirt available for the race on Thanksgiving Day. Shirts will be held for pick up until December 31, 2026. After the 31st all shirts that haven't been picked up will go on sale to the general public. Shirts and race packets can be picked up at the Everbody's Fitness on Wednesday Nov. 25th between noon & 6 pm or or on Thanksgiving Day between 7 & 8 a.m.
To compete in this year's race you will need to register online at https://runsignup.com/Race/IN/TellCity/Everbodys2020VirtualTurkeyTrotFunRun, or in person at Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center. There is a family discount this year (family of 3-6. All must live in the same household). Save $5 per registrant.
If you are not a runner but would still like to be involved, volunteers are always needed to hand out water, cheer on and guide the runners at the corners as they take foot on race day! To volunteer call Everbody's Fitness Center at 812-547-3565.
This year, as in past years, proceeds from the race will go to help a local family in need.
