Lace up those shoes, and join us August 8, 2026 for the 49th running of the Schweizer Fest 2 & 6 Mile Road Run. We feature 2 race distances, both of which go through Tell City's historic downtown area, the heart of Schweizer Fest. Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center is excited to host this event, which is open to runners and walkers of all skill levels. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group and gender. A special award will be given to the top male and female in each of the races. This years awards breakdown is based on 5 year age groups.

The 2 mile course is a fast, flat route in the downtown area. The 6 mile route will take you through downtown before heading to Mozart Street where you will ascend a 1 mile, 200 foot vertical hill with minor grade breaks before you descend on Tell Street, followed by a Main Street finish. Race time for the 6 mile run is 8:00 a.m., with the 2 mile event beginning 5 minutes later. Both start on 7th Street near Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center.

KIDS FUN RUN - At 9:15 a.m. there will be a two block (.25mi) fun run for kids 7 years old and under. They will start at Frostop on Main Street and finish under the balloon near City Hall. All KIDS FUN RUN participants receive a racing bib and ribbon. Best of all, it's free for any child!! No need to register just pick up a running bib at Fulton & Main or the starting line on the day of the race.

Our goal is to not only serve those suffering with grief from the death of a loved one, but also those wrestling with what we call a "living loss" which would include children whose parent(s) are incarcerated or in an active addiction and not present in their life. At Tucker's Treehouse, our focus is on catering to children and youth between the ages of 6 and 18. Additionally, we aim to offer resources and educational support to parents and caregivers involved in nurturing the children who participate in Tucker's Treehouse.
