Join us for our 14th Annual Stomp Out the Stigma 5k Run/Walk! This event helps to support the mission of New Hope Clubhouse and, more importantly, helps to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental illness.
Northeastern Center’s New Hope Clubhouse is located in Kendallville, but serves adults from DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble and Steuben counties. It is accredited by the International Center for Clubhouse Development and is one of over 300 clubhouses worldwide breaking the cycle of social isolation that is so common among adults with mental illness.
New Hope Clubhouse provides opportunities for socialization, skill development, employment and more, ultimately helping members regain the confidence and self-esteem needed to live and work in the community.
Proceeds from the race go toward the Clubhouse educational fund as well as social outings and other member projects. With your support, we can continue to help Clubhouse members regain dignity, hope and the opportunity to lead productive lives. Thank you for supporting New Hope Clubhouse and helping us Stomp Out the Stigma!

The conflicts that America has faced, in fighting for our freedom, have often seemed insurmountable. If you look at the terrain and landscapes where our military has fought, it would make your heart sink in fear. But, our military has always stood strong and valiant in the face of such fears. They have shown the world what the meaning of brave truly is.
It is with this in mind, that we have created an obstacle course with a diverse set of “landscapes”, that represents just a handful of the types of topographies that our military have fought over and through. This is a way of honoring their dedication and sacrifice.
The Just One Step Memorial Walk is a new addition to our Wayland Hot Air Balloonfest. This will be a walk to remember those we lost too soon. We walk to let others know they are not alone and that suicide prevention is possible. The funds we raise will go to support those in our community that have experienced a loss or those who may need assistance getting the care they need.
Your registration fee covers your ticket into the Wayland Balloonfest. There will also be a Recognition Rewards Program when certain fundraising goals are met! Details will be coming soon!
