On behalf of Renaissance Athletic Club, I would like to thank you for considering your support of our 3rd Annual Run and Creep 5K Run/Walk. All funds raised from registration fees and sponsorships will cover all race expenses and any funds left will be donated to Berrien County Cancer Services in St. Joseph. RAC has been a proud supporter of this organization for many years.
About The Organization:
The Berrien County Cancer Service (BCCS) has had the honor of caring for Southwest Michigan's cancer patients since 1948. We are a unique, skilled oncology nursing service that provides compassionate care for cancer patients and those with related illnesses in the comfort of their own homes. We are able to do this at no cost because of the generosity of our community; we are "neighbors helping neighbors" in a time when local cancer patients need our special care.
In addition to our nursing care services, we have an extensive loan closet of medical equipment and supplies that we offer at no cost, including nutritional supplements, wound management supplies, and incontinence products. We also have wigs, turbans, and caps and can provide breast cancer patients with special products. We also host an art program for children and families impacted by cancer.
Our services are available to all residents of Berrien County who have been diagnosed with cancer or a related illness by a licensed physician at any facility.

A bit about it.
Set in the stillness of an almost winter night, this event is designed for those who embrace the cold and darkness of the season. The course awaiting you is a flat crushed limestone rails-to-trails that’s wide with about zero technicality to it. With two distances offered a 16 or 31 mile out-and-back each with opportunity to build the Wisconsin Yeti within. As the temps drop and daylight has settled hours ago, it becomes more and more quiet. The points made while you move along are how you handle the internal demands that become louder and louder. You’ve put in a full day and at 6pm you clock in for work.
Conditions.
Mother Nature plays by no rules. Our first year held mild temps and completely clear conditions. No snow nor a flake was in sight. Year 2….. we had snow and lots of it. The trail is not kept up/plowed or cleared for it’s a multiple purpose trail. If there’s snow, you may find some areas are cleared, drifts may be covering it from the open drumlin areas or you’re “post holing”. It can be different all along the way.Bring the toolbelt packed and be ready for it all.
What’s with the name?
On the course you’ll find nothing but the evening closing in and getting ready to tuck the rural community in for the night…..but NOT YOU!! It’s wide open spaces and we wish to protect the space as such. Talking is of course welcome, at an indoor level while outside. It’s a mobile vocal “leave no trace” mentality. The name of the event is just a nod to the night and to be mindful of those who wish to be undisturbed while we are out Type 2 fun in’ it up!
Aid Stations and support.
16 miler-The halfway mark of your distance is also your turn around. Aid will be available here in the form of fluids (water and an electrolyte drink) and light easy snacks. You will be able to leave a drop bag here and they will be returned back to the start/finish area for you. We can’t commit to an exact timeframe and be advised you may have to wait to get them, or you can retrieve them yourself if needed.31 miler-use of the all available above and where your drop bag will be as well. The halfway point of your distance is also the turnaround. A full aid station will be set up with cold and hot drinks and eats. A covered lit up tent with chairs, heaters, volunteers and good energy in the night will fill all cups needed to send you back to the finish line.*****as a reminder a drop bag is only at the 16 mile turn around which you’ll pass twice.Potties of the portable kind will be available at the start and the turnaround of the 31 miler. There is no potty at the 16 mile turnaround.
Rewards.
A token of sorts will given to each participant who crosses the finish line. It will not be a medal. The top 3 female and men in their distance will receive an additional and special gift.
No NO’s by the RD.
No incessant noise makers are allowed; cowbells, whistles, air horns, etc. No alcohol will be served by us.No cups will be provided at the aid stations. Will enforce the “CUPLESS” way to help with environmental impact on our events. Please provide your own vessels for us to refill at aid stations.
REQUIRED GEAR.
Per DNR safety guidelines on this multi-use trail extra gear is required;Participants must wear 2 rear facing and 1 forward facing red light with a blinking option. Along with at least 10 square inches of reflective material also on both the front and back of their outer gear layers. These will be checked during pre race packet pickup.

Event Information
Event Description: You may compete in either a 8-hour or 4-hour race on a 1.65 mile loop course at Limestone Park. The course, mostly crushed limestone and partly asphalt, is about half flat and half hilly with one short-but-steep downhill and one short-but-steep uphill plus a couple of other small hills, with a maximum elevation change of 50 feet. NEW THIS YEAR - During the last half hour, you may switch to a 1/4 mile out and back loop (1/8 mile each way) if you don’t have time to do a full course loop.
How it works: At the end of each loop you will check in with the scorekeeper. Then, take a break between loops or go right back out again; the choice is yours. Do as many loops as you can in the allotted time for your race. The scoring will be based on total loops completed. In the event of ties, the person who finished his or her last loop earliest will be the winner. Partial loops will not count. Use your own judgement about when to start a final loop. NEW THIS YEAR - During the last half hour, you may switch to a 1/4 mile out and back loop (1/8 mile each way) if you don’t have time to do a full course loop.
Aid Station: There will be a well-stocked aid station at the start/finish of the loop, It will be mostly limited to items that are individually wrapped. Restrooms will also be available there. There is an area where runners can set up their own base camps. If you have any special needs/wants for refreshments, you should plan on bringing your own.
Awards: Overall awards and age group awards will be based on participation. Finisher awards to all participants (personalized with your name for pre-registered participants.)
Net proceeds of this event will be donated to: Kankakee Veterans Assistance Commission and Limestone Park.

Intro
Welcome to Hindsight Ultra Trail Runs, a local grassroots race that looks easy on paper, but can catch up to you in a hurry. While the race does not have a lot of vert, it makes up for it with varying terrain, some technical trails, and a long stretch of exposure. While we have sign-up and formal finish times/results, we will do our best to maintain the grassroots feel to the event. This is a great event for any runners looking to complete their first Ultra distance, complete the next distance on their list, or want to train for the next ‘A’ race.
The Course
The start line is located behind the Dixon Park District Facility in Dixon IL.It is a 7.85ish mile loop. 2 loops will get you a 25k, 4 loops will get you a 50k, 8 loops a 100k, and 13 loops get you 103 (3 extra credit) miles. The course is a blend of everything except water crossings and mountains. Roughly 50% singletrack, 30% grassy meadows path, and 20% gravel path. Total elevation for the 100 mile is roughly 6200’ which calculates to just under 60’/mile. While the course is maintained, expect there to be tree roots, small tree stumps, some rocks, ankle rollers, and anything else you would expect to be on a singletrack course.
Aid Stations, Crew, and Pacing
There are 2 aid stations; Start/Finish (S/F) and a water station that is at mile 3.7ish. At S/F, there will be water, snacks, hot food options through the night, plus anything that volunteers and runners might bring to share. At the 3.7ish mile water station, we only provide water and ice. We allow crew at S/F and at the aid station. The aid station is only a 1/3 mile walk from S/F. Pacers are allowed after the first lap for all distances and can join/leave the runner at the S/F and aid station.Personal canopies are allowed, spots are first come first serve. No campers. Set-up begins at 5am Saturday and packet pick-up begins at 5:30am Saturday.
Awards and Buckles
We hand out medals to all 25k, 50k, and 100k finishers. 100 mile finishers will receive a buckle. New for this year will be awards for the top 3 male and female finishers in all distances. You must start at the designated start time to be eligible for the top awards.
Start Times and Cut-Offs
100 mile and 100k events will start Saturday September 26th at 6:30am. This gives the 100 mile and 100k runners 32 hours to finish their distance and the 50k runners have a 25:30 window of time to finish.NOTE: While the events start at a particular time, the runner does not have to start at the event start time. For example, if you are signed up for the 25k or 50k but can’t make it to the event until Saturday evening, you can start late.. You only need to be finished by 2:30pm on Sunday. 50k and 25k runners can not start early. New for this year - No Sunday starts. All runners must start their distance by midnight Saturday evening. Note: To receive a top finisher award, you must start at the assigned start time.
