Join us on Saturday, April 12th at 5:00 PM for the Duke’s Night Run in Crystal Lake, part of the Spirits Run – Illinois Adventure Series. This evening 5K begins and ends at Duke’s Alehouse & Kitchen, then follows a smooth, atmospheric route toward the local cemetery before looping back under the early‑evening sky. It’s a perfect blend of movement, community, and a little nighttime magic.

This is a relaxed, untimed event open to all paces. Walkers, runners, strollers, and first‑timers are welcome. Every participant receives a medal, shirt, and event swag, plus a themed drink at Duke’s after the run. Duke’s will be open for food and drinks, making it an ideal place to gather and celebrate after crossing the finish line.

The night setting adds a fun twist to this run—glow gear, lights, and costumes are encouraged. The route is safe, visible, and full of character, highlighting one of Crystal Lake’s most beloved local spots.

Run at dusk. Celebrate at Duke’s. Experience the spirit of the night.

The Feet Meet was started over years ago intending to be a family event to help encourage and promote physical fitness in our community. We host a 1 mile and a 5K fun run/walk. Both are aimed at getting our families out, exercising, and having fun! The more our children are introduced to different kinds of physical fitness, the more likely they are to be comfortable with it. Kids are even more likely to take note of physical fitness when they see their parents join in the fun!

Traditionally, the Feet Meet has been a great success in promoting family fitness and healthy lifestyles. Our participation has ranged from 400 to over 1,000 runners.

The proceeds raised from this event are used for trophies, t-shirts, and any other costs used for the event. The event provides an opportunity for children to experience success and encourages their participation in a fitness activity.

A few answers to frequently asked questions:
