The Feet Meet was started over years ago intending to be a family event to help encourage and promote physical fitness in our community. We host a 1 mile and a 5K fun run/walk. Both are aimed at getting our families out, exercising, and having fun! The more our children are introduced to different kinds of physical fitness, the more likely they are to be comfortable with it. Kids are even more likely to take note of physical fitness when they see their parents join in the fun!

Traditionally, the Feet Meet has been a great success in promoting family fitness and healthy lifestyles. Our participation has ranged from 400 to over 1,000 runners.

The proceeds raised from this event are used for trophies, t-shirts, and any other costs used for the event. The event provides an opportunity for children to experience success and encourages their participation in a fitness activity.

A few answers to frequently asked questions:

    Who is this race for?

Our Woods Creek Feet Meet is designed especially for our Woods Creek students and their families. It’s a chance for our school community to come together, cheer each other on, and make great memories!

    Can I bring my stroller?

Yes! Strollers are welcome- we love seeing our youngest Cubs along for the ride!!

    Are walkers welcome?

Absolutely! Whether you run, jog, walk, or power-walk with purpose- you belong here. This event is all about moving together and having fun.

    Can I bring my dog?

As much as we love our furry friends, we ask that pets sit this one out to help keep our course safe and smooth for all participants.

    Who is eligible for trophies?

Trophies are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Woods Creek students in grades K–5. Crazy Cub Medals will be awarded to Woods Creek Students only as well. We love celebrating our student runners! Please note that all runners receive a ribbon. :)

    How can I help?

Our race is powered by Woods Creek families! We rely on parent volunteers to make race day successful.

Running or walking the 1 Mile? Consider volunteering during the 5K!

Racing the 5K? We’d love your help during the 1 Mile!

Not racing? We can use help stuffing race bags, handing out packets, cheering along the course, and more!
