Comfiest long sleeve t-shirt, swag thanks to our amazing sponsors, and finisher food/drink, all COT runners get a finisher's award. Please note that registrants registering after October 1, 2026 are not guaranteed a shirt.

Please note courses utilize the Boise Greenbelt system. Should we run the Greenbelt, the river can be unpredictable. Systems and entities that govern the local Greenbelt are constantly dealing with these challenges. Typical issues are created due to sidewalk construction, sinkholes, flooding, etc. During the run, you may encounter wildlife that may cause a delay in your progress and/or change in your planned route. Or you may cause your own delay to stop and listen to the amazing sounds this course creates.

The Treasure Valley YMCA is proud to bring you the 49th annual YMCA Famous Idaho Potato Marathon and Fun Runs presented by the Idaho Potato Commission. All of our races take place on the flat and scenic Boise Greenbelt. All races start and finish at The Morrison Center

All courses are flat and fast for this fun full, half, 10K & 5K run on the Boise Greenbelt.

Packet Pick Up: Friday, May 15th, 3:00-7:00 pm at the Morrison Center for all distances!

Come pick up your packet and t-shirt, and visit with vendors before race day to ensure you have all the last-minute race day items. Avoid the lines on race day and pick up your packet on Friday.

Day Of Packet Pick Up:

Half & Full Marathon – Sat, May 16, 5-6:30 am

5K & 10K – Sat, May 16, 8:30 am-10:00 am

Marathon – 7 am

Welcome to the Boise Marathon. The Boise Marathon will offer the summer option for our marathon series. June 20th promises to be one of the longest Boise days. Sunrise is at 6:04 a.m. and while Sunset is scheduled for 9:30 p.m., you know that Boise sun can hang in the sky until late into the evening. We can't imagine a more perfect day to run our Summer Marathon.

DISCLAIMER: Boise also likes to offer multiple weather seasons throughout a June day. We'll promise the sunrise/sunset time, not sure about what season.

Marathon Series:
- Spring - Boise River Marathon - May 2, 2026
- Summer - Boise Marathon - You found it!!!
- Fall - City of Trees Marathon - October 10, 2026
- Winter - Boise Half Marathon - November TBD 2026
Courses:

One of the most scenic courses in the country located in beautiful Boise, Idaho. You will wander through canyons, trees, riverside neighborhoods and some of the prettiest parks in the country!

Great Swag:

We'll follow our usual recipe of race production to include our coveted race shirt (we're thinking of something other than the t-shirt hoodie for this race), sweet swag, and finisher food/drink. ALL participants will get a finisher's medal. Please note that registrants registering within 2 weeks of race date may not be guaranteed a shirt. (We'll do the best we can. We're cutting off registrations once we think we can no longer get you a shirt or a medal. Medals are easy... but we don't know what shirt size folks are until they register so there's no way to know. Thanks to all who register early!!!)
