The Carrollton Half Marathon & Half Marathon Relay
The AMP, Carrollton, GA
DON'T GET LEFT AT THE STARTING LINE!
The Carrollton Half Marathon has become a local legend, one of Georgia's premier half marathons, and this race sells out every single year. We have a firm runner cap to keep the course scenic and safe—once the spots are gone, they are gone! Register early to lock in your spot, your shirt size, and the best pricing.
Experience the magic of seeing the sun peek over Lake Carroll as you tackle our scenic 13.1-mile course. With a route that winds through the heart of the city and finishes on a glorious, flat stretch of roadway, this is a race designed for a "strong finish" with great spectators bringing you home every step of the way.
Why This Isn't Just Another Race
The Course: Start and finish in the historic Adamson Square. You’ll glide past the water and through the shaded, rolling hills of the Carrollton GreenBelt.
The Vibe: We don't just hand you a medal and send you home. Our post-race atmosphere features music, entertainment, and a food & drink spread that makes those 13.1 miles feel like a warm-up for the party.
The Swag: Every runner (individual or relay) gets the "Goodie Trio": a premium Carrollton Half Marathon t-shirt, a heavy-duty finisher’s medal, and those all-important tickets for free food and drinks.
The Cause:
Every step you take benefits The Carrollton Greenbelt and The Community Foundation of West Georgia. This foundation helps fund many projects in the Carrollton and Carroll County area.
New for Year 7: The Corral Start!
To make your race morning smoother, safer than ever, and to account for an expanded race field, we are introducing Starting Corrals! No more weaving through crowds or dodging elbows in the first mile.
How it works: When you register, you’ll provide your Expected Finish Time. We will then group you with other runners of a similar pace. Your bib will display your assigned corral (A, B, C, etc.), ensuring that everyone starts with plenty of "elbow room" and can find their rhythm immediately. Whether you’re a sub-90-minute speedster or a steady-paced scenic cruiser, you’ll have the perfect spot at the start line!

Over their lifetime, 1 in 5 women and 1 in 7 men experience severe physical violence by an intimate partner. The Gwinnett County Solicitor General's Office wants to change those statistics by bringing awareness and education to the community regarding support and resources available to serve survivors and victims who may be experiencing domestic abuse.

The Race 2026: ROOTED
The Race 2026 is coming, and this year we are celebrating what keeps us grounded and growing strong. Year 9 centers on being ROOTED in community, culture, and purpose. Since 2018, The Race has built a powerful foundation of wellness, unity, economic impact, and cultural pride, and we are excited to honor those roots as we continue to evolve.
The Race weekend offers more than a run. It is a high energy experience focused on connection and impact. Participants can enjoy a vibrant expo, a world class half marathon and 5K, and virtual options for runners and walkers everywhere. The weekend also includes our Community Impact Service Day, where volunteers and partners come together to support meaningful work in local neighborhoods.

Every year, Cobb County hosts the Make-A-Wish 5K, a 5-kilometer run the benefits of which are donated to Make-A-Wish® Georgia to grant wishes for Cobb County children with critical illnesses. This year, there are many children in Cobb County waiting to have his or her wish granted. It is our hope to grant more wishes and we know that it takes a community to make this happen. Help us put a smile on a child's face by making their wish come true. To find out more about Make-A-Wish, visit: https://wish.org/georgia/our-stories.
The Make-A-Wish 5K is a Peachtree Road Race qualifying event.
This will be the first year that we are incorporating a 1K race for small children. Bring them on out and let them burn off some energy.
