The International Dyslexia Association Georgia (IDA-GA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, scientific, and educational organization dedicated to increasing public awareness of dyslexia and promoting effective teaching approaches and intervention strategies for struggling readers. We serve as a resource and support system for individuals with dyslexia, as well as the families, educators, and communities that support them.
The Dyslexia Dash supports IDA-GA's outreach initiatives, community grants, and teacher training scholarships. Thank you for your support!

In-Person: Saturday, October 17, 2026
Course Location: Perimeter Mall Area, Atlanta, GA (See Course Map)
GPS Location: 4390 Ashford Dunwoody Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30346
Start/Finish: Perimeter Center Parkway NE in front of Nordstrom Department Store
Bib Pickup/Registration/Festival: Nordstrom's parking lot, next to Von Maur
Start Times: 1-Mile 7:45 am, 5K 8:15 am
Parking: Look for parking poles with numbers 71 and 72 in Von Maur's parking lot. You may also park outside the festival area in front of Nordstrom.
Bib Pickup: To avoid lines, pick up your race bib on Friday, October 16, at Road Runner Sports in East Marietta. (5:00-7:00) You may also pick up your bib on the morning of the event, beginning at 6:45 am.
T-Shirt Pickup: For those attending the in-person race, you must be present to pick up your t-shirt or have someone pick it up for you.
5K Race Awards: Medals for Overall Male/Female; Masters Male/Female; 3 deep Male/Female in the following age groups: 8 and under; 9-12; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+
Virtual 5K: Anywhere, Any Day/Time
Participate anytime, anywhere! Upload your best time from October 1 through October 17 (by 11:59 pm EST).
For those choosing the virtual race, participants will run their own course and can post their times. As soon as you register, you can run the race.
Participants post their times on the Dyslexia Dash website, either by text or by email.
Race t-shirts for Virtual Race Participants will be mailed the week of October 19. You will be notified if there is a shipping delay.
Austin Elementary invites you to their 50th Anniversary Celebration with the Dunwoody Dash 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run! Bring the entire family for post race fun including Dunwoody's favorite food trucks, music, free inflatables, face painting and more! All proceeds from the Dunwoody Dash support Austin Elementary School students, faculty and staff, and fund school enrichment programs.
The 5k is an official qualifier for the 2026 AJC Peachtree Road Race. Awards will be given to the top 5k runners in various age groups. The 5K and Fun Run are walker and stroller friendly!

Race Bags will not be distributed through the AM or PM carpool line. No parking on campus for AM pick up (park off campus and walk to school). Parking at the school is available for afternoon pickup.
