The Jeff Galloway Training Program is the official training program of 26.2 with DONNA The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer. We also train for all races that Galloway pacers serve, including but not limited to Walt Disney World marathon and half marathons, Ameris Bank half and full marathon, Amelia Island Half Marathon, and Space Coast half and full marathons.
The Jacksonville Galloway Training Program follows Olympian Jeff Galloway’s training run-walk-run guidelines. Our program is open to anyone who is interested in fulfilling a lifetime goal of running a 5k, half marathon, or full marathon. The training group welcomes all levels, including walkers.
Our group runs feature walk breaks at regular intervals based on your skill level. Pace groups are set up according to current fitness level, and a Group Leader is assigned to keep the speed slow enough for all members and enforce walk breaks from the beginning to the end.
Note: Training Program membership does not include race entry fees.

Running for Children, Hope, and a Healthier Future
Join the University of North Florida Student Nurses Association for a day dedicated to compassion, community, and meaningful impact. Every step taken helps support research, resources, and brighter futures for the families who need it most. As part of our mission to support children with disabilities, this year’s 5K proudly benefits the Alagille Syndrome Alliance (ALGSA) — a nonprofit devoted to improving the lives of children and families affected by Alagille syndrome.
Alagille syndrome is a rare genetic condition that can impact the liver, heart, kidneys, and other vital systems. Families navigating this diagnosis often face significant medical challenges and limited treatment options. ALGSA works tirelessly to change that by:
-
Funding research toward better treatments and future cures
-
Providing education and resources for families
-
Supporting global awareness and advocacy
-
Building a compassionate, connected community
Your participation directly fuels these efforts and brings hope to children who deserve every opportunity to thrive.

🔥 The Big Chief Tire One Mile Championships are BACK! 🔥
Presented by PRS Running Club, this iconic race returns for its 12th year, bringing speed, competition, and pure mile magic back to Jacksonville.
The Big Chief Mile has a proven legacy of fast times and unforgettable finishes:
💨 2014 crowned a blazing 4:05.2 men’s champion
👟 2015 delivered the fastest women’s mile in event history at 4:53.4
🏁 2016 saw absolute chaos up front — the top 5 men separated by less than 5 seconds, while the top 3 women all dipped under 5:03
Now in 2026, we return to the Fishweir Brewing venue with a fast, spectator-friendly course built for bold racing and new records. Flat, quick, and electric — this is a mile designed to fly.
To keep racing tight and competitive, the event will feature multiple waves, allowing athletes to select the wave that fits their ability and racing goals. Whether you’re chasing a PR, lining up for your first mile, or just here for the vibes, there’s a place for you.
✨ Any pace. Any ability. Any age.
If you love racing, this is your mile.
Lace up, line up, and be part of Big Chief history.

About this Race
Saturday, October 24th
5K at 8 AM • Mile at 9 AM
In 2020, Tristan Klepzig was a Senior at UNF, nearing graduation in the Mechanical Engineering program. Tragically, he passed away following a fatal accident while he was out running one evening in late October. Tristan had a wide circle of friends and family and was loved by many.
Instead of birthday cake each year, Tristan’s celebratory treat of choice was always his mother’s fresh and well-known cinnamon rolls. Since his passing, the family has continued the tradition of remembering Tristan on his birthday in July and also during the month of October by gathering around a pan of homemade cinnamon rolls.
In October of 2024, the Klepzigs kicked off an Instagram page “Run4therolls” to remember Tristan with running, cinnamon rolls, and friendly competition – all individually and remotely. That page gathered attention from many in 27 states and 8 countries. Collectively, over 4,600 miles were recorded.
About Our Title Sponsor
Auld & White Constructors is a very community-oriented construction firm headquartered in Jacksonville, FL.
