A series of four progressively longer races. Now in its 48th year, this edition will include modifications to accommodate pandemic restrictions and guidelines.
You may register for any of the four individual events or for the full four-race Series. The first 125 Series registrants will receive custom Buildup socks, to be distributed prior to or at the first race.Commemorative long sleeve technical shirts available for purchase for Series or individual race entrants.
Please note that while we hope to be able to conduct all the races of the Series as in-person events, the ability to do so is based on permission from the state and towns. While we will make every effort to hold the races in person, including changing the location, the fluctuating nature of the COVID virus makes it possible that some of the races will need to be held as Virtual events. Please read our Refund Policy before registering.
FACILITIES: Buildings should be open at all races. Come dressed to run, bring warm clothing for afterwards. Mile & 5km splits marked (every km in 10K). Digital clock at finish. ChronoTrack B-Tag timing (gun times, net times where possible.).
POSTPONEMENTS: Postponed races will be held the following Sunday at the originally scheduled site and time. Postponement notice will be posted on this site and the Buildup Facebook page and Twitter feed by 7 a.m. race day (or earlier when possible), and via email to all entrants.
AWARDS: Long sleeve technical fleece 1/4 zips to the top Overall, Open (39 & under), Master (40-49), Grandmaster (50-59) Vet (60-69) and SuperVet (70 & over) male and female in each race who have not already won. The overall Series winners in these categories will receive custom engraved slate plaques after the Series conclusion. Grand Prix Series scoring will be based on the Purdy computer point tables, and weighted (best race multiplied by a factor of four, second best by three, third best by two, worst unweighted). Join us at Elm Ridge Park for a 2M Trail Run to support the Rocky Hill Fire Department and Rocky Hill Library. All abilities are welcome!

Day of Registration will be available. Adults are $40 & Juniors are $25.
Day of registration spots are limited to the remaining spaces in each field. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to race.
We are proud to present the Rocky Hill CX Series as a centralized location for our youth teams to practice at (5:00 PM), and a fun, no-pressure, training race for those looking to enjoy cyclocross racing (5:35 PM for the Juniors and 6:15 PM Open Race). Thanks to the Town of Rocky Hill Parks and Rec and our partner clubs for allowing this to happen!

Series Dates:
This 4-week training series will take place on 4 Wednesdays in August/September. August 26th, Sept 2nd, Sept 9th, and Sept 16th. With respect to the Town of Rocky Hill and their beautiful park, we will cancel due to rain and wet conditions that will be especially damaging to the venue. In this case, we will provide a credit to all participants and you will be notified of a cancelation via email!
A fun, safe and positive weekly Junior Practice Session
This practice is hosted by CCAP staff and regional team coaches. Licensed junior riders under 18 and middle/high schoolers can enjoy a no-pressure practice session at 5:00 PM. Any junior that wants to ride must be at least 9 years old (cyclocross racing age = age on Dec 31st of the 2026 year) and are welcome to race in the Junior Race. All training activities and races will be started with instruction from CCAP coaches and staff. All youth riders, 18 and under, are welcome to participate in the practice for $10. Riders that are on CCAP registered teams may participate in the practice at no charge.
Fun, safe and competitive racing for all
Fun, friendly, and competitive racing for everyone from novice racers to experienced Category 1 Racers. The wide variety of skill levels makes for an informal, no-pressure vibe.
All riders must have a USA Cycling License. If you don't have one, one-day beginner licenses may be purchased for $15 and are valid for a single day. One-day beginner licenses may only be purchased by new riders or Category 5 riders.
Equipment
All USAC Rules apply. All riders must wear a helmet. A cyclocross bike or mountain bike (without bar-ends) is suggested. No BMX bikes allowed.
