The L.A. CADA Dream Run 5K is more than a race, it’s a commitment to a world where people achieve optimum health and wellness through unrestricted access to healthcare and recovery services. This community-driven event supports our Youth Scholarship Fund, helping remove barriers so young people can access education, leadership, and life-changing opportunities.

Rooted in L.A. CADA’s mission to save lives, unite families, inspire hope, and uplift communities, the Dream Run directly invests in our Youth & Family Services Department, which serves adolescents ages 12–17 facing substance use and mental health challenges. Through school-based prevention, early intervention, outpatient and intensive outpatient services, and comprehensive mental health support, we meet youth where they are, before challenges become crises.

Our work extends beyond youth to families and communities through education, family workshops, prevention coalitions, and youth leadership initiatives like Jóvenes Speak Up, which empowers young people to become peer advocates and community leaders. Every step taken during the Dream Run 5K represents compassion, perseverance, and respect in action. Together, we are building healthier families, stronger communities, and brighter futures - one stride at a time.
