    Join us for the 2026 Honor Run/Walk and help us remember the brave officers of the Phoenix Police Department who gave their lives in service to our city. Whether you're chasing a personal best or walking with your family, every step you take honors their sacrifice.

    Answer: Yes, pets/dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash and under control at all times.

    If you can't pick up early, don't worry; we will have your shirt/bib at check-in on race day.

    We’ll be mailing out shirts this week to all out-of-state participants, so please take a moment to review your registration and confirm that your shipping address is correct.

    There are numerous public parking options near City Hall. To assist with your planning, we have provided several resources below to help you find the best parking location. Please note that free parking is no longer available downtown, so be prepared to pay for parking. Metered parking is typically more affordable and can be conveniently pre-paid through the Park Mobile App.

    What about awards?

    Answer: At this time we are not breaking the race up into age groups so age group awards will not be given. Every participant will receive a race medal for their participation. The race IS however officially chipped and timed so you will know exactly where you finish.

    The Kids' Chance 5K is back for our 21st Annual event! Kids’ Chance of Arizona, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, provides college scholarships for children with parents who have been killed or catastrophically injured on the job. Help change the life of a young adult who would not be able to fulfill their dream of an education without YOU!

    This fun event welcomes competitive runners as well as casual joggers/walkers, dogs, families including strollers. Invite your neighbors and friends to a simple 5k that helps benefit the community. Come out for a beautiful morning at the Arizona Falls, located near Indian School and 56th street, and support Kids' Chance of Arizona!

    Details

    A 5k fun run/walk hosted at Arizona Falls. The race will be an out and back course along the canal and will include lite refreshments at the finish line.

    Don't forget to post pictures of yourself/group taking the challenge to the benefit KCAZ Mission.

    All runners will be provided with a commemorative t-shirt with the Kids Chance 5K logo as well as a Finisher's Medal.

    Join us for a meaningful 5K on a scenic route in Phoenix, supporting people experiencing homelessness with life-saving services and a hopeful path out of crisis.

    Purpose: Hope and Hunger Relief – providing critical resources and pathways to stability for those facing homelessness.

    Beneficiary: People experiencing homelessness in our community, receiving life-saving services and access to a path out of crisis. In 2024 our organization provided services to over 14000 people through generous donations and the support of compassionate volunteers.

    Distance: 3.1 miles (5K)

    Location: Arizona Grand Canal trail, near 33rd Street and Roosevelt

    Surface/Accessibility: Paved, suitable for running, walking, and rolling

    The event starts and ends at Moon Valley Park, where the Activity Fair and Kids Dash will take place.
