The Highlands Gravel Classic is the first of two qualifiers in the USA for the UCI Gravel World Series (GWS). The GWS will include both new and existing events from around the world to qualify competitors to attend the world championships in Nice, France. Selection for the world championships will be based upon age group and gender, along with both Elite men's and women's categories for UCI-licensed riders. The top 25% finishers of ages 19-34 and then each 5-year age group (ex 35-39) separated by gender up to the oldest competitor will qualify.
Highlands Gravel Classic will feature 2 courses...Highlands - 68 miles and Farmlands - 54 miles. The 68 mile course is for Elites, Males (19-59) and Females (19-49). The 54 mile course is for Males 60+ and Females 50+.
Field Participant Caps:
Farmlands course - 500 total riders
Highlands course - 600 total riders
OVT Off-Road Triathlon, Off-Road Duathlon, Gravel Triathlon and Gravel Duathlon to be held on the same weekend as the oldest road triathlon in NW Arkansas.
Saturday, June 13 - OVT Gravel Triathlon, Gravel Duathlon, Mtn Bike Triathlon and Mtn Bike Duathlon events.

Gravel Du - 2-mile run, 12-mile bike, 3-mile run
Mountain Bike Tri - 400-yard swim, 8-mile bike, 3-mile run

Sunday, June 14 - Ozark Valley Triathlon (road events) is hosting the 2026 Arkansas State Championships in the international and sprint distances as well as the Arkansas High School State Championship. There is a combined Club Championship competition as well. These are both road triathlon races and there will be a Aquabike, duathlon and team category (International distance only) in the Ozark Valley Triathlon.
Road events:
Sprint Triathlon - 400-yard swim, 13-mile bike, 2-mile run (USA Triathlon Arkansas State Championship and High School State Championship)
International Triathlon (individual or teams) - 1,000-yard swim, 19-mile bike and a 4-mile run (USA Triathlon Arkansas State Championship)
Aquabike - 1,000-yard swim, 19-mile bike
Sprint Duathlon - 2-mile run, 13-mile bike, 2-mile run
All events will be held at Lake Wedington Recreation Area. Lake Wedington is located 13 miles west of Fayetteville and is one of the most natural settings for a triathlon in the region. Both spectators and participants can enjoy the natural beauty of the area, combined with unique finisher medals, post-race food, awards and prizes make this race one to attend.
The start/finish location is Lake Wedington Recreation Area just outside of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Lake Wedington is a US Forest Service Park and offers great amenities and a natural setting to come hang out for the weekend and enjoy some of the best gravel in the Ozarks of Northwest Arkansas.
4 gravel ride distances of 24, 40, 64 and 96 miles. There will be hot food, tasty beverages and snacks once you finish.
