2 running events in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia

This is an event in open to all Novice lifers. You do not need a CPU/NSPL membership to participate.

This is a chance to try the sport out, to competition standard, without the same cost and the required equipment.

This event is for lifters who have never competed in a sanctioned powerlifting event, lifters who are new to competition. Lifters who have competed in Novice events such as the 2023, 2024 Bridgewater Novice Open are eligible to sign up but I ask you wait a few weeks to enroll so to give others who have never competed a chance to sign up first.

This is a 3-Lift only event. There isn't a Bench Only component.

If you would like to do Bench Only we can accommodate you but the registration remains the same, you simply don't do the other two lifts.

NOTE: All entries are non-refundable & non-transferable after March 11th, 2026. This includes for reasoning such as (but not limited to): COVID, injuries, conflict in scheduling, etc.

Welcome back to our annual Michelin Bridgewater Tire Trot! the 5 Km race starts at the Luneburg County Lifestyle Centre (LCLC) and follows an out-and-back course along the Centennial Trail. This is an Atlantic Chip-timed run an all finishers receive a medal. There is a 1 Km kids’ run which will take place first. Our event has been selected again this year to be part of RUN NS road series. One lucky participant of the 5 Km run will win a set of (4) Michelin tires!

The race route will remain open until 11:30am (please note, no dogs are allowed on the run).

Some important notes:

The 1 Km will start at 9am

The 5 Km will start once the 1 Km is completed (around 9:15am or 9:20am). The run starts on pavement and then transitions to packed gravel.
