Race Day Participation:
We encourage all participants to bring their own hydration and nutrition to the event. We will have limited self-serve water stations.
The event is chip-timed. Official results will be posted after the event.
Brunch is included with in-person event registrations.
All Participants Receive A Hypo Half Blanket, Tote Bag, & Finishers Medal
All in-person participants will have the opportunity to win a pair of Altra running shoes. Two pairs will be available at each location.

PLAY LEARN TO RUN 5K CLINIC
Always wanted to run a 5KM but didn’t know where to start? Good news, we are here to help you start your journey! Our 8 Week Learn to Run 5KM Clinic is all about building confidence, building relationships, having fun, and moving our bodies. There will be 1 guided run per week meeting at Play (101- 1950 Harvey Ave) at 5:30 pm on Wednesdays and a couple of suggested homework runs for growth and injury prevention that will be printed off for you each week.

Do I already need to be able to run? Nope. If you can walk, you can start this program.
What if I miss a week? Life happens. Just jump back in when you can.
Is this serious training or fun training? Both. Structured enough to work, fun enough to enjoy.
Are dogs allowed? For the safety of all our runners we ask that dogs stay home please.

VIRTUAL run dates will be June 1 - 30, 2026 (packages shipped June 22).
The 2026 Kelowna Wine Country 5km, 10km and Half Marathon runs are back for another in-person event (virtual option also available) and post run festival.
We are also very excited to bring back our post run wine, beer, cider and music festival. Entry to this festival is included with your in-person registration, when you register you will also have the option to purchase an extra festival pass so your friends and family that are not running can join in the post run festivities.

The Kelowna Wine Country Runs accentuates the amazing beauty of the Okanagan Lake and the surrounding valley. The course offers eye-popping vistas along the route and runs through scenic county roads, landmarks, greenways and lakefront parks, finishing in Waterfront Park for the trademark Wine, Beer, Cider & Music Festival. Join us on July 1st to move, remember, and celebrate Canada Day—one step at a time.
5k description
This flat, fast out and back 5K starts and finishes at City Park, following along Abbott Street. Runners head south with long straight sections and gentle turns before turning around at the 2.5 km mark and racing back to the finish. With minimal elevation change and a straightforward layout, this course is ideal for steady pacing, first time 5K runners, and anyone chasing a personal best.

Kids 1km Description
A fun and friendly 1km run for kids of all ages! The course runs 0.5km out and 0.5km back, making it easy to follow and perfect for little legs. Parents are welcome to run or walk alongside their kids for support and encouragement.
Race Bib Pick Up - Tuesday, June 30th 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Play Stores. (101-1950 Harvey Ave) and Wednesday, July 1st 6:15 am - 7:15 am at City Park (1600 Abbott Street).
5K Start Time - 7:30 am
Kids Fun Run Start Time - 8:15 am
Note: Registration is ONLINE ONLY. Registration closes at 6:00 pm Tuesday, June 30th. There is no day of race registration.
No dogs allowed on the run; you will be disqualified if you take your dog.
If you have a baby jogger, we ask that you start at the back of the group.
NO REFUNDS
When completing your online race registration, please use your proper or legal name only, (no nicknames). This covers the race and yourself for liability insurance.
Refreshments, awards, and draw prizes will follow after the race. There will also be a draw for a pair of New Balance shoes (courtesy of New Balance), three $50 Gift Cards from IRA's gold sponsor, Play in Kelowna, and a free entry to the Midsummer 8K (courtesy of the Interior Running Association).

The Dirty Feet Trail Races are fun trail running events for all ages. This event will be held on the Kettle Valley Railway Trail starting at the Upper Parking Lot on Myra Forest Service Road.
