Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a race that gives back! Join us for the 5th annual Leprechaun Dash, starting at the Chatham Park YMCA and winding through the scenic Vineyards neighborhood.
Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just having fun, make sure to come dressed in your finest Leprechaun attire for a chance to win special prizes. Whatever your pace, just remember: Wear your green!
🧡 The Cause: Racing for Our Neighbors
Every dollar raised through the Leprechaun Dash stays right here in our community. All proceeds benefit the YMCA Annual Campaign, providing critical financial assistance for Chatham County families.
Your participation helps us award over $90,000 in annual scholarships, ensuring local children and families have access to:

THE FEES & REGISTRATION
Race fees include your Hipster Leprechaun T-Shirt and support for a great cause. Register on RunSignUp. Group discounts available (contact the race director).
Today through February 28th: $45 for the 5K and $50 for the 10K
March 1 - 14 (Race Day): $50 for the 5K and $55 for the 10K
THE TSHIRT
Every participant registering by February 28 will be guaranteed to receive a Hipster Leprechaun t-shirt.
THE COURSE
Runners will start at the new Chatham Park YMCA. The start will proceed down Parkland Drive and turn onto Chatham Parkway. Runners will turn into the Vineyards neighborhood on Wendover Parkway and then follow greenways, sidewalks, and shoulders through the neighborhood. The 5K and 10K will share the course with 5K runners turning around a bit sooner.
WALKERS
Want to walk either course? You're welcome to. We just ask that you follow sidewalks and crosswalks. We can not guarantee police presence past 10:30 a.m.
STROLLER AND PET POLICY
Baby strollers/joggers are permitted, but for the safety of all participants, please start at the back behind the runners and walkers.
Pets are not allowed on the race course.
PARKING AND PACKET PICKUP
Parking:
Race day parking will be available at the Chatham Park YMCA (120 Parkland Drive, Pittsboro, NC 27312).
Packet Pickup:
You can pick up your bibs and t-shirts on either Friday night or Saturday morning. Friday pickup will run from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. at the Chatham Park YMCA. Saturday morning pickup opens at 7 a.m. and will close at 8:20 a.m. We ask that you please arrive early on Saturday to avoid the last-minute rush. As an incentive, we will have coffee by 7:30 a.m.
For your friends and family who want to join last minute, we’ll have race day registration available on both Friday and Saturday.
