CFC Family Caregiver 5K Walk and Run

Join us for our 2nd 5K Walk/Run for Family Caregivers! Join us as we celebrate Black History and the Culture. Enjoy Black History trivia, music and fun along the route. This fundraising event will provide care grants to family caregivers seeking respite care for their loved ones. Family Caregivers, family, friends and all please join us for this day of fun as we celebrate caregivers, enjoy exercise and practice self care with other family caregivers and award new care grants!! All ages are welcomed. Please no pets.

5k walkers and runners will receive a 2026 5K long sleeve t-shirt. The first 50 finishers will receive a 2026 5K Medallion. The first 3 finishers will receive special awards. Top winners of the Black History Trivia contest will receive special prizes.

    Since 2017, Coach K & Lightweight Fitness gym has been building real momentum in Clayton County through fitness training, free weekly run club, free bootcamps across the county, and community outreached Teacher Tone Up in local schools. We believe fitness should be accessible, visible, and part of the culture.

    The Clayco ’Til I Die 5K WALK/RUN is an extension of that mission.

    This race is about pride in where we’re from and bringing awareness to the health benefits of physical activity and mental wellness right here in Clayton County.

    We will start outside Tara Stadium with a race finish inside the stadium on the track with music, crowd energy, and a full vendor village celebration.

    This is more than a race. This is Southside pride in motion.

    The South Fulton (GA) Alumni Chapter (SFAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., was newly chartered on November 3, 2024, in the City of South Fulton, GA. This organization comprises a dynamic group of college-educated individuals worldwide. The establishment of this chapter marks a significant milestone for the fraternity’s mission of achievement and service. We are super excited about entering our second year of community impact.

    SFAC is pleased to host its 2nd Annual Dreamers of Achievement 5K Run/Walk. This pivotal fundraiser will support scholarships, mentorships, and community engagement initiatives. It will also connect health-conscious individuals, thus introducing our chapter's commitment to health and wellness.

    The 2nd Annual Dreamers of Achievement 5K Run/Walk will be June 20, 2026, starting at 8 AM, with the race beginning at Jess Lucas Park and ending slightly before Jess Lucas Park.

    Registration will be available via QR code at packet pickup and on race morning. Credit or debit card only please.

    Your support will help ensure the beginning of valuable initiatives and opportunities for the South Fulton community and neighbors.

    TIME LIMIT: 5K - 1 hour and 20 minutes. Any participant still on the course after the time limit is reached will be asked to vacate the course.

    TIMING: The timing device for this event is RFID timing by Elite Race Timing. To receive an accurate time, please confirm that your bib is:

    • Clearly visible on the front of the torso

    • Unaltered and unmodified (not folded or wrinkled)

    • Pinned in all four corners

    • Uncovered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.)

    • Results are published live within a few minutes of finishing.

    VIRTUAL OPTION: Run or walk a 5K (3.1 miles) on your favorite course or treadmill the week of the race. Virtual 5K participants receive a t-shirt that will be mailed after race day. Virtual participants should submit their results here.

    REFUND POLICY: All registrations are final and non-transferable.

    Event Courtesy & Refund Policy

    Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be immediately disqualified, asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.

    All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.

    Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for the safety of the participants; there are no refunds in this case.

    Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag. No race gifts will be mailed, you must be present to receive medal and swag.

    There will be Free parking at the race site until lot is full. Once the lot is full you will be directed to the overflow parking area where you will be shuttled to the race location.
