We are thrilled to announce that we are bringing Wyatt's Walk and Run back this year to benefit Empower Me Center!!! Empower Me Center has made such an incredible impact on Wyatt and our family over the last several years! They provide much needed recreational and educational services for our local special needs community through a variety of year round programs and activities. Their summer day camp is something Wyatt looks forward to all year long, and is a Godsend for working parents like us! Empower Me Center gives children and families like ours opportunities to meaningfully participate in the community with their peers. The Empower Me Center team is truly like a family to us, and I don't know how we would make it without them. With that said, there are so many other families that need this support and the ability to be a part of this growing organization and family! Empower Me Center is in the process of beginning construction of their state of the art facility here in Wilson County,

and we couldn't be more excited. This will include a huge recreational facility, sports complex, and eventually multi-living facility offering housing opportunities. Through raising a child with special needs, our eyes have truly been opened to the dire need for facilities and services like this. We have been fortunate enough to be involved with Empower Me since Wyatt was very young, but the truth is that without this facility, they just cannot meet all of the needs of all of the families that are out there. We want to change that! We want to give all individuals and families that are affected by a disability a place to feel and call home. A place where they can be their selves and truly live their best lives. Please join us on June 20th to support this incredible organization and their mission for the future!

Join us for our 21st Annual HEAT Kid's Triathlon on Saturday August 8, 2026 at 7 am. There are two race divisions. Juniors: ages 6-10 and Seniors: ages 11-15. The 6-10 year olds will swim a 50 yard pool swim, bike 2 miles, and run 1 mile. The 11-15 years olds (Seniors) will swim a 100 yard pool swim, bike 4 miles, and run 2 miles.

*USAT (USA Triathlon) rules require that the age that is used is the age as of 12/31 of the race year. So, make sure you are clear if you have a 10 year old, for example that will be 11 before the end of the year that they are required to race in the Senior age troup.

USAT also has rules about the bike - no training wheels are allowed.

Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage Presents: The 5th Annual 7th President 7K

Join us for the 5th Annual 7th President 7K, hosted on the historic grounds of Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage — a one-of-a-kind course where the nation’s 7th president once lived. This unique 7K run will take participants across paved paths, open fields, and scenic landscapes, including:

• Tulip Grove Mansion – once home to Rachel Jackson’s nephew

• Hermitage Church – built in 1824 for the surrounding community

• The Hermitage Mansion – the stunning finish line and crown jewel of the property

For those looking for a more relaxed pace, a 2-mile walking course will also be available — perfect for taking in the natural beauty and history of this National Historic Landmark.

Race Start Time: 8:00 a.m.

Registration: $40

Course Type: Cross-country — expect beautiful fields, grass, a small portion of trail and paved road.

Timing: Not chip-timed; rolling time clock will be provided

What’s Included

• The first 300 registrants will receive a custom medal and a Grounds Pass to The Hermitage, valid through October 17, 2027

• Register by September 14, 2026, to also receive a commemorative race T-shirt

• Prizes will be awarded to the overall male and female race winners.

Participant Guidelines

Strollers are not recommended, as the course includes unpaved areas. If bringing one, please start at the back of the group.

No dogs allowed on the course during the race for safety reasons.

However, leashed dogs are welcome when using your included Grounds Pass after the event. Please clean up after your pet.
