Hastings Color Run

Date: Sunday, June 19th, 2026 at 8:00am

Join us for Tri the Park at Tarrytown’s Pierson Park, a youth triathlon designed for fun, challenge, and community spirit! Participants will compete in a POOL swim, followed by a closed bike loop and park run. Whether your athlete is tackling the long course or giving the short course a go, it’s a great way to race this summer.

The entire race should take athletes anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes as it is a beginner course, and each participant will receive a finisher’s medal!

Long Course: 100m swim, 2mi bike, 0.50mi run

Short Course: 50m swim, 1mi bike, 0.25mi run

Participants can compete in either distance race and must be between the ages of 6-16.

Register by noon on June 21st to guarantee your event T-shirt! After that, shirts will be available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. Registration closes on July 12th.

Closter's Dom Mircovich Memorial 5K - 45th Annual & Jim O'Halloran Kids Fun Run

Now in its 45th year, the 5k and Fun Run events will be held on its traditional Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Both events will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The Closter 5k is the longest running, continuous 5k in the Northern Valley. We've got the prettiest course around!

Please note that this year's town celebration ("NOT" Labor Day celebration) is scheduled for 6 September. See the Closter Recreation Commission site for more info. This year's town celebration will not coincide with the 5K and Fun Run.

LOCATION - Memorial Park, Harrington Ave., Closter, NJ

SCHEDULE - September 6, 2026

• 8:00 am - Bib Pickup by basketball courts for those registered on line (Note: There will be limited same day registration, but online registration is preferred.)

• 9:00 am - Jim O’Halloran Kids Fun Run (12 & Under)

• 9:30 am - Dom Mircovich Memorial 5K Walk/Run Race Start

• 10:30 am - Awards

COURSE

• USATF Certified 5k Course: NJ24017JLW

• Mostly flat course around parks neighborhoods, and charming town center

• Timing & scoring by Rock Race Timing

• Multiple water stops

• The Fun Run distance is approximately 1k.

5K AWARDS

• Top three male and female finishers overall

• Five-year age groups: 10U to 80+ (10U, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, etc.)

• Runners receive the highest award for which they are eligible. No multiple awards are given.

• First three parent-child teams (Online sign up only. No day of team registration.)

• Fastest Closter resident-male & female

• Runners receive the highest award for which they are eligible only; no multiple awards are given.

AMENITIES

• Fun Run: T-shirt and Tyvek bib to the first 50 Fun Run registrants, trophies to the top five girls and top five boys, ribbons to all participants, and post-fun run refreshments.

• 5K: Moisture wicking T-shirt to first 225 registrants, B-tag electronic timing, awards as described above, and post-event refreshments.

• Registration at Runners' House and on event-day will be $40.
