Saturday Orienteering Series

Term 1, 2026 Pass

The pass includes discounted entry to all 5 SOS events across the term plus the special IKEA event. Pay for 4 and get entry to all 5 SOS events in the term plus guaranteed entry to the IKEA event.

There's no need to enter the SOS events separately, this registration covers all of them. See each event listing for event dates and locations.

A promo code will be shared with Term 1 Pass holders to use when entering the IKEA event.

We recommend that you become an orienteering club member prior to purchasing a term pass or attending regular orienteering events as the member discount will save money. Go to the Orienteering NSW website to join an orienteering club. The member discount is 15% on SOS event entries.


Weekly SOS Start Window: 9:30am to 11am (start any time within this window)

SOS Courses: Warm Up (recommended starting course for beginners), Short Line, Long Line, and Score. If you're not sure which one is best, we can work it out on the day! If you want more, entrants are also welcome to run multiple courses on the day.

SPORTident timing is used for all courses. If you do not own a SPORTident card, please hire one when registering.

Normal SOS entry fees:

Adults - $18 (members -15%)

School Students - $15 (members -15%)

(a $2 late fee applies if entering after midday on Thursday before the event)

The IKEA event has higher entry fees.

Timing card hire - $4 per entrant per event

Prices include GST and merchant fees.

Orienteering club members can claim their discount through the use of the promo code "ONSW" at the checkout.

    Races are held on the first Saturday of the month from February to November

    except for May. Race 4 of the 10K Series is the Sydney 10 which is organised by Athletics NSW.

    Visitors aged 15 and over are welcome to enter. The races are free for members of Sydney Striders Road Running Club.

    (Strider members do not need to register).

    The races start at 7.00am with a 60m time limit. There is an early start option at 6.30am for slower runners.

    Registration includes on the day prizes, post race refreshment results and professional photographs.
