City of Rosemead's Superhero 5K Fun Run/Walk

The William Northrup School Fun Run is a schoolwide fundraising event that brings students, families, and our community together for a day of movement, teamwork, and school spirit.

Each student will participate in the Fun Run and has a personal fundraising page to invite friends and family to support their effort. Donations can be made as a flat amount or as a pledge to cheer students on as they run.

Funds raised will directly support:

• Classroom supplies and educational resources

• Enrichment programs and student activities

• Campus improvements and community events

Our goal this year is $35,000. With approximately 700 students participating, we’ve set a suggested goal of $50 per student. There is absolutely no minimum requirement, and every contribution, no matter the amount, is truly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support!

• 🍦 If we reach our $35,000 schoolwide goal, the entire school earns a Schoolwide Celebration Day

The Mark Keppel Alliance is a non-profit organization that advocates for Mark Keppel High School and fundraises in order to enhance the students’ education and engagement. Their mission is to raise money to support academics and sports programs that the school district cannot fund. Anyone who wants to do a 5 kilometer run/walk, support the students, and feel the community’s spirit surrounding such an event can do so at the Fear the Spear 5k. All proceeds generated from the run will benefit academics, sports, and the clubs that students participate in at Mark Keppel. We encourage everyone to be a part of the 5k experience and sign up!

Join us for the Run for the Ranch! 5K Run/Walk and show your Don pride while supporting the students of El Rancho Unified School District.

This exciting community event begins and ends at El Rancho High School, taking participants on a scenic course toward the San Gabriel River spreading grounds before finishing back on campus. Runners will have the opportunity to cross the finish line on the all-weather track at the Don Memorial Stadium.

Whether you're a competitive runner, casual walker, student, parent, or community supporter, this event is a great way to stay active, connect with the community, and support student programs across the district.

The race will be professionally chip timed, with results posted on RunSignUp. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age group.

6–8 | 9–11 | 12–14 | 15–18 | 19–29 | 30–39 | 40–49 | 50–59 | 60–69 | 70+

All proceeds benefit the El Rancho Associated Student Body (ASB), supporting student activities, leadership programs, and school spirit initiatives.

Acompáñenos en Run for the Ranch! 5K y demuestre su orgullo Don mientras apoya a los estudiantes del Distrito Escolar Unificado de El Rancho.

Este emocionante evento comunitario comienza y termina en El Rancho High School y lleva a los participantes por una ruta escénica hacia el San Gabriel River antes de regresar al campus. Los corredores tendrán la oportunidad de cruzar la meta en la pista atlética del Don Memorial Stadium.

Ya sea que sea un corredor competitivo, un caminante casual, estudiante, padre de familia o miembro de la comunidad, este evento es una excelente oportunidad para mantenerse activo, convivir con la comunidad y apoyar los programas estudiantiles del distrito.

La carrera contará con cronometraje electrónico, y los resultados se publicarán en RunSignUp. Se entregarán premios a los tres primeros lugares masculinos y femeninos en cada categoría de edad.

The Mount Wilson Trail Race returns this year and will be held on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026. Race start time is 7:30 a.m., with packet pickup beginning at 6:00 a.m. that day. This will be the full 8.6 mile course from Kersting Court, up the Mount Wilson Trail to Orchard Camp, and back.

Join us in donating to the Fletcher Trail Maintenance Fund, which supports our dedicated Trail Maintenance Crew volunteers with the necessary equipment, materials, supplies and tools. Your donation is greatly appreciated and makes a real difference for this historic trail running event and community!

Our History: First run in 1908, the annual Mount Wilson Trail Race is one of the oldest trail races in California. The elevation gain is over 2,160 feet on a winding course. The original path, first used by the Gabrielino Indians, was dug out by Benjamin "Don Benito" Wilson in 1864.
