2k 5k 7k Run Walk

We’re thrilled to announce that on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026, the Belmont AAPI Run 5K & 2K will celebrate its 5th anniversary!

Runners and walkers of all ages from Belmont and neighboring communities are warmly invited to join this year’s race to celebrate and raise the voices and visibility of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) residents. The event is organized by the Belmont Chinese American Association (BCAA) and supported by generous contributions from local businesses.

Now in its fifth year, the Belmont AAPI Run has grown into a cherished local tradition—bringing together competitive athletes, first-time runners, families, volunteers, and local business owners for a morning of fitness, friendship, and community spirit. Since its 2022 debut, it has become one of Belmont’s three signature races, alongside the FBE Apple Run and the Becca Pizzi 5K.

Proceeds from the event support AAPI-focused programs hosted by BCAA and Belmont Celebrates AAPI Heritage (BCAH). This year, funds will also benefit the Belmont Media Center to help broadcast local public school events. Learn more about AAPI community initiatives at BCAA and BCAH.

PIONEERS Run Crew is a transformative and influential running community that has been reshaping the Boston running scene since its founding in April 2017. Established by Sidney Baptista, the crew was created to directly address the lack of diversity in the city's running culture by building a welcoming and inclusive hub in the Dorchester neighborhood. With a "no runner left behind" policy, a community of over 500 members, and a powerful lineup of their own signature races like the 26.TRUE Marathon, PIONEERS is a true lifestyle and a force for positive change.
