Luce 5K & Fun Run

The Saint Catherine of Siena Home & School Association is excited to invite you to the 2026 5K Road Race. SCS 5K T-shirts will be available for the first 100 pre-registered runners/walkers, though sizes cannot be guaranteed.

Online Race Registration will remain open until the start of the event on race day.

In-person race day registration is available and we will be accepting cash, check, and credit card as payment.

In-person race day registration will occur behind the school on Friday, May 29th, 2026 from 2:15 - 3:30 and on race day starting at 7:30 am.

Family of 4 discount is for families with more than two children and capped at $120 per family. The discount may only be applied to 2 adults

The Saint Catherine of Siena School Kiddie Race will also return for 2026, with short races being held for preschoolers through 2nd graders at 10 am. The children will be seeded per grade and race on school property.

A parent or guardian must be present for the child to compete.

A Fast, Scenic, Downhill Mile

Get ready to fly down one of the most beautiful stretches in Massachusetts — the Moose Hill Parkway in Sharon. The Moose Hill Mile is a point-to-point downhill road mile that combines breathtaking scenery with pure speed.

Starting near the summit of Moose Hill, runners will descend a smooth, shaded road lined with tall pines and sweeping views, finishing near the base of the parkway. It’s the perfect mix of nature, community, and competition — whether you’re chasing a new mile PR, testing your fitness, or just here for the thrill of the drop.

Road Race is competitive and is kept on a timely pace. No prolonged stopping will be permitted unless in case of emergency.

Advance registration will end July 2 at 8am.

For those pre-registered, you can begin to pickup your bib and T-shirt 3:45pm on July 4 at Norwood Town Common, adjacent to 566 Washington Street. Race begins promptly at 5pm.

On-site registration begins 3:30pm July 4. Look for the marked tent on the Norwood Town Common.

With a legit 12.3 mile Time Trial, this is the fastest bike course around. Not to mention a shady and flat 4.4 mile run around a beautiful lake! The Swim is 1/2 Mile of calm and clean waters. For over 50 years, the Walpole Road Race has given local athletes the opportunity to challenge themselves and participate in a wonderful community tradition. The race is the largest fundraiser to support Walpole High School Cross Country / Track & Field programs. By participating in this event you are supporting 200+ Walpole High School Cross Country/Track & Field athletes across 6 seasons as they prepare for upcoming competition. We thank you for your generosity and continued support of the programs!

The Walpole Road Race starts and finishes at Walpole High School and includes 5K run/walk, 10k run, 1 mile kids run, and virtual 5k/10k events that give everyone a chance to participate. If you need to switch events, just let us know at [email protected].

Entry Fees (sign up at Walpole Day in May for an additional $5 discount)

• Pre-Registration (before race weekend) Race Fee: $35

• Regular Registration Race Fee: $40

• Ages 13 and younger/65 and older: $20

• Youth Mile Fun-Run fee: $20

• Participants who register before August 15 receive the coveted official Walpole Road Race T-shirt

• All participants will receive finisher's medal

• Race T-shirts are also available for sale in our online store for $20

• 10K male winner: name engraved on Herb Lewis Memorial Trophy - displayed at The Run House

• 10K female winner: name engraved on John Murphy Trophy - displayed at John D. Murphy & Co.

• Top three 5K/10K finishers: recognized with specially engraved placement medals

• Team 5K/10K Races: Team name engraved on Team Plaque - displayed at Walpole High School

• Age group awards are not being issued this year
