Old Wethersfield is a picturesque town steeped in history, characterized by its charming colonial architecture and well-preserved landscapes. It features tree-lined streets, historic homes dating back to the 17th century, and scenic parks that offer a tranquil escape. Visitors can explore the scenic Connecticut River, which enhances the town's natural beauty, while the vibrant community and local shops add to its quaint atmosphere. Wethersfield's rich heritage and scenic vistas make it a delightful destination for those seeking a glimpse into New England's past.

Please join us for our 6th Annual A.W. Stanley Park 5K to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut! Each year the event has more and more runners. This year, medals will be given to the top 3 finishers in various age groups for in person participants.

The race is a scenic and enjoyable route with some rolling hills. It begins and ends at the same location! The race is contained within the park with the exception of a brief leg on the sidewalk along Stanley Street to accommodate more runners safely! A T-shirt is included with registration for in person participants, sizes from youth small all the way to adult xl. Bathrooms will be available on site.

Race Start Time:

• 9:00 AM 5K Timed Run (timing by IRUNCT)

• 9:15 AM 1 Mile untimed Walk

Cost: $30 for individual 5K run/ 1 Mile Walk registrations.

As always, there will be free parking in and around the park. Stay tuned for information on important dates and times!

Join us at Elm Ridge Park for a 2M Trail Run to support the Rocky Hill Fire Department and Rocky Hill Library. All abilities are welcome!

Race Details:

• The 2M course is a 2 loop course in the park

• Kids Run is 1/2M out and back

• All Kids will receive a BIB and finisher medal

• Register for the 2M run by Sunday, 6/29 to have your name printed on your race bib

• Race refreshment will be available at the finish line

• No same day registration and you can register online ONLY!

Farmington River 5K Trail Race will be held on Sunday, 9/20/2025. The race will be held on the Winding Trails. The race course will be on a designated 5k trail inside their 300 acres around Walton Pond. – Here is there website Winding Trails

Awards for First overall Male & Female finishers and age groups (18 & Under, 19-49 & 50 and above).

The Lee Chisholm Award will be presented to the first Farmington finishers, male and female.
