HOW YOUR PARTICIPATION HELPS GRIEVING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY.

Each year, Lighthouse supports over 400 children, youth, and their families as they navigate their grief after the life-altering loss of a parent or sibling. Your event registration or donation will fund our grief support groups to ensure there is no cost to families who need them.

Lighthouse does not receive government funding, so we rely on fundraising events and the generosity of our communities to be able to continue to offer our services free of charge to those that need them.

Please join and help us ensure that no child grieves alone.

TIMING: Warm Up/Opening Remarks - 8:30AM | 1K Start - 9:00AM | 5K Start - 9:30AM

This year’s run will support Capillary Wave Community! Capillary Wave Community is a grassroots movement creating powerful ripples in the world of mental health. Born from the belief that healing happens through connection, they are a growing community where people come as they are and leave a little lighter, stronger, and more seen.

Our goal is to raise funds to ensure that everyone in community has access to the support, resources and services they need to become healthier in mind, body and spirit. Donations in support of Capillary Wave Community will be collected by The Rotary Burlington North Foundation, with 50% of net donations provided to Capillary Wave Community following the event.

Rotary Burlington North is a passionate group of people with a strong sense of fun and community service. We undertake hands-on projects locally and around the world to improve people’s lives. We raise funds through events like the Spring into Action Run, with donations going directly to the Rotary Burlington North Foundation, a registered Canadian charity. Over the past 25 years we have raised over 1.8 million dollars to help those in need and strengthen our community.

Your personal online fundraising drive can be set up through the Race Roster Portal. We ask that you make a voluntary donation when you sign-up for the run, or better yet, create a fundraising team and collect donations from friends and family members that support your desire to help Capillary Wave Community and other organizations that do good in our community. Thank YOU for your support!
