The Cherry Blossom Triathlon (CBT) was started in 2013 and has grown to be a staple early-season race or a great entry event for first-timers.

The CBT is hosted in Kelowna at one of the country's premier swim facilities – the H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre. This first-class venue has a 50m pool, perfect for creating a great pool swim for the event. The H2O is surrounded by an ideal, spectator-friendly bike loop circuit, fairly flat and fast except for Swamp Hill Climb which is a nice added challenge! A mix of roads and trails makes the 2 - 5km run fun, interesting, and scenic.

Entries are capped and we will declare "sold out" once our event hits participant capacity. We provide updates on Facebook, Instagram, and our newsletter as we approach capacity. Newsletters are emailed to all participants leading up to the race - if you do not get information emailed to you, it is likely going to your spam folder.

The 2026 Kelowna Wine Country 5km, 10km and Half Marathon runs are back for another in-person event (virtual option also available) and post run festival.

We are also very excited to bring back our post run wine, beer, cider and music festival. Entry to this festival is included with your in-person registration, when you register you will also have the option to purchase an extra festival pass so your friends and family that are not running can join in the post run festivities.

The Kelowna Wine Country Runs accentuates the amazing beauty of the Okanagan Lake and the surrounding valley. The course offers eye-popping vistas along the route and runs through scenic county roads, landmarks, greenways and lakefront parks, finishing in Waterfront Park for the trademark Wine, Beer, Cider & Music Festival. 5k description

This flat, fast out and back 5K starts and finishes at City Park, following along Abbott Street. Runners head south with long straight sections and gentle turns before turning around at the 2.5 km mark and racing back to the finish. With minimal elevation change and a straightforward layout, this course is ideal for steady pacing, first time 5K runners, and anyone chasing a personal best.

Kids 1km Description

A fun and friendly 1km run for kids of all ages! The course runs 0.5km out and 0.5km back, making it easy to follow and perfect for little legs. Parents are welcome to run or walk alongside their kids for support and encouragement.

Race Bib Pick Up - Tuesday, June 30th 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Play Stores. (101-1950 Harvey Ave) and Wednesday, July 1st 6:15 am - 7:15 am at City Park (1600 Abbott Street).

5K Start Time - 7:30 am

Kids Fun Run Start Time - 8:15 am

Note: Registration is ONLINE ONLY. Registration closes at 6:00 pm Tuesday, June 30th. There is no day of race registration.

No dogs allowed on the run; you will be disqualified if you take your dog.

If you have a baby jogger, we ask that you start at the back of the group.

When completing your online race registration, please use your proper or legal name only, (no nicknames). This covers the race and yourself for liability insurance.

The Across the Lake Swim Kelowna is Canada's largest and longest running open water swim. With a history dating back to 1949, it was initially used as a rite of passage for local swim clubs and was a major part of the Kelowna Regatta.

Today, it serves as a bucket list item for friends and families, who take on the classic 2.1km distance across stunning Okanagan Lake. Not quite ready for the 2.1km? Try the shorter 1.5km across the lake.
