3.1 Miles 5k Run Walk

Kick off your Labor Day with the Cedar Fest 5K!

Run, walk, or cheer your way down historic Main Street and onto the scenic Greene County Parks bike path—a great way to start your morning in Cedarville.

Proceeds go straight back into our small town!

Your participation supports Revitalize Cedarville, a nonprofit dedicated to making our village a more welcoming and enjoyable place—for everyone who comes here, whether it’s for a day or a lifetime.

Prizes awarded for Top Overall Finishers!

Overall male and female winners receive trophies. Age group winners receive medals.

After the race, head over to the fire station for pancakes, then make your way back to Main Street for shopping, food trucks, and more starting at 10am. Then, the Cedar Fest parade rolls through at 1pm. The 5k is just one of the activities happening throughout the village this weekend!

Race begins at Chillicothe St. and Main St.

    Annual Tie Dye 50K

    Day: May 16, 2026

    Race Start Time: 7:30 AM

    COURSE DESCRIPTION

“John Bryan is the most scenic state park in western Ohio. The 752-acre park contains a remarkable limestone gorge cut by the Little Miami River which is designated as a state and national scenic river. A portion of the gorge itself is designated as a national natural landmark.”

Tie Dye 50K IS CUPLESS! This means there will not be cups pre-set at any aid stations.

An ORRRC collapsible, reusable cup is available to be added to your registration for $3 and the cup will be provided at packet pickup.

Please carry it with you as well as your water bottle. There will be absolutely no cups at aid stations (you will need to use your cup if you want to drink Coke or Ginger Ale, or grab some pretzels to go).

    COURSE OVERVIEW

3 loop course traversing through beautiful John Bryan State Park–and is the same popular course used the last 4 years. Each loop will be approximately 10.3 miles. The course maps are available below.

    AID STATIONS

    AID STATIONS: Fully manned aid stations at miles 5, 10.3, 15.3, 20.6, 25.6. Water only station at miles 2.2, 7, 9, 12.5, 17.3, 19.3, 23, 27.6, and 29.6.

Our fully man aid stations will include: water, Gatorade, chips, pretzels, pickles/pickle juice, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, bananas, and cookies.

Newly Built restrooms are available near the start/finish shelter aid station.

    DROP BAGS

You can have drop bags at miles 10.3 and 20.6 (Start/Finish). For the safety of you and others, you will manage your own drop back and the volunteers will not access them.

    PACKET PICK-UP

Packet pick-up will begin at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16th, at the shelter in the campground. Enter the park and park in the first parking lot on the right after the park office. The shelter is up against the hill on the left outside of the parking lot.

    PARKING

John Bryan State Park, Yellow Springs, Ohio. We will fill the main lot (I will have at least two spots coned for the course). We will also have volunteers helping direct runners to other parking areas. Do not park in the campground unless you have a camping permit.

    CUT-OFFS

For the safety of the runners and the comfort of the volunteers, cutoffs will be enforced. Total completion time is 9 hours or 4:30 p.m. To complete within 9-hours you must start your third loop by 1:30 p.m. The sweeper will begin sweeping at 2:00 p.m. and you must stay ahead of the sweeper.

    EARLY START OPTION

Back again this year! We are allowing an early start option for those concerned about the 9-hour cut off. Runners, after checking in at packet pick up, can begin their run as early as 6:30 AM for an early start. Early start runners will only be eligible for a finisher award.

    Your $60 non-refundable registration includes a short-sleeve lightweight tech t-shirt.

LAST DAY TO BE REGISTERED WITH GUARANTEE OF SHIRT IS APRIL 17th, 2026

Please note: In years past we have sold out and had to start a waitlist. We will accept online registrations through May 14th or when we reach race capacity, whichever comes first. Please contact the race directors by using the link below if registration is closed or sold out to inquire about the waitlist and registration. As noted above, the registration fee is non-refundable. There are also no deferrals allowable to another year or another ORRRC race.
