    Welcome to the fourth edition of Run With Rob!

    After powerful runs across Manitoba in 2023, New Brunswick in 2024, and Prince Edward Island in 2025, Run With Rob is heading to Nova Scotia.


    Inspired by the legacy of Terry Fox, Rob Tétrault is running across Nova Scotia to raise awareness and funds for the Canadian CMV Foundation.

    Congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) is the #1 infectious cause of infant disability in Canada, yet the Maritimes still lack universal newborn screening. Universal screening would ensure babies born with CMV get timely interventions, improving health outcomes and reducing lifelong disabilities.

    Be part of the movement. Run alongside Rob for one (or more!) of the legs and help push for life-saving screening across the region.

    How to Register

    Step 1: Choose your route

    Run With Rob 2026 is made up of 14 legs, each connecting two different communities between July 19 and August 1. Start by choosing the section of the route you want to join, based on the start and end locations that work best for you.

    Step 2: Register your spot

    Once you've selected your route from the list of legs below, you'll be asked to enter your details in the registration form.

    Step 3: Select your distance and get ready to run

    During registration, you'll be able to choose the distance you'd like to run:

    • 5 km

    • 10 km

    • Half marathon

    • Full marathon

    Once you've registered, the Run With Rob team will be in touch to confirm your exact starting point. Get ready to run!

    2026 Nova Scotia Harbour Swim for The United Way

    This fall the Provincial United Way campaign is swimming across the province.

    From Wednesday, September 9th to Friday, September 11th fearless fundraising swimmers will plunge into harbours across the province where, one stroke at a time, they will engage in harbour hopping, United Way Style!

    And YOU could be one of them!

    We are reaching out to swimmers across the province to invite you to celebrate this unique opportunity with us.

    All you need is two things to qualify:

    • To be able to swim 1500 metres in 40 minutes

    • To be able to raise $150 in pledges

    Wednesday, September 9 – Shelburne - Shelburne Waterfront, bottom of St. Patrick's Lane - 12 p.m.

    The Salvation Army’s Santa Shuffle is a national fundraising event supporting the local work of The Salvation Army in communities across Canada.

    By registering for the Halifax Santa Shuffle, you are joining a community of participants and fundraisers helping provide food, shelter, and hope to individuals and families facing hardship.

    As a Santa Shuffler, your registration includes:

    We’ve made registering for The Salvation Army’s Santa Shuffle easier than ever this year.

    For 2026, there is one simple registration option for everyone:

    "Individual – 5K Fun Run / 1K Elf Walk"

    Whether you plan to run or walk, all participants register through a single, streamlined process — making it quicker and easier to sign up and get started.

    To ensure the event remains accessible to everyone, discounts are automatically applied at checkout:

    • Youth (18 and under) and Seniors (65+) receive $10 off registration

    • Group registrations receive:

    • 10% off per registration for groups of 4–9 participants

    • 15% off per registration for groups of 10 or more participants

    No codes are required, and all eligible discounts are applied automatically when you register.

    Run Nova Scotia is open to everyone – it doesn’t matter where you live, how old you are, whether you’re a new runner or a seasoned runner, whether you’re fast, slow or average or like to run long or short distances.

    You will receive a member-only Run Nova Scotia T-shirt, with a new design for 2026!

    You will receive exclusive information on road running in Nova Scotia via our member-only newsletter.

    You will receive a registration fee discount of at least 5% on all Road Race Series events.

    When you participate in Road Race Series and/or Performance Series events, you earn points for your efforts which go towards earning awards at the end of the year.

    You will contribute to and participate in the vibrant Run Nova Scotia community, including at exclusive events like our pre-season Guesstimate Run and Year-End Celebration.

    2026 registration is open starting August 31, 2025.
