  Saturday morning – April 11, 2026 – 8:00 AM Race Start! Enjoy this one-of-a-kind route that winds through and around lovely downtown Adairsville, GA and Follows the Tracks where the actual Chase took place!!! The 5K start and finish are adjacent to the historic Downtown Adairsville Train Depot, Where the Great Locomotive Chase passed through on April 12th, 1862!! 164 Years ago!   The Whiskey Run Rome is the perfect race for seasoned runners or amateur enthusiasts looking for a run that doesn’t skimp on the fun. Expect great 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon routes followed by local food pairings, whiskey samples, and music. In its second year, the run includes venues all across the southeast, with races scheduled in Atlanta, Nashville, Huntsville, and Knoxville.

  The run is produced by Run Rhino. A Chattanooga-based company known for putting on unique races and events, including 7 Bridges Marathon, Scenic City Mud Run, the Caffeine Run, the World Run, and the Southeastern Santa Hustle Race Series.

  Race Day Parking will be located in the large lot of the Euharlee Baptist Church. Overflow parking will be located next door in the Woodland Middle School Parking Lot.

  5K COURSE:

  This USATF-certified course [GA24031WC] starts in front of Historic 1848 Fannin Hall and Georgia's largest outdoor swimming pool. It winds its way through town before turning by the Georgia School for the Deaf. It then returns to town and meanders through quaint neighborhoods before finishing in the middle of town square. The course is mostly flat with a few rolling hills but this tour of Cave Spring on foot will not be soon forgotten!
