Chicagoland Be A Hero #LightUpMBC Fun Run

Thanks to Carol Guist of Baird & Warner Monday Miles will be a fun way to be active by running or walking 1, 2, or 3 miles each Monday evening from 6/1-8/3.

Come to seven or more Mondays and earn a commemorative 2026 event t-shirt.

Work all summer and set your goal for the final week’s bib-timed run at our Recycled Run.

Monday Miles will have a mass start at 6:15pm! Course will be open until 7:15pm.

Come out and join us for our 28th Annual Harvest 5k-10k run/walk & Kids Miler. As the oldest race in the Plainfield, this event has averaged around 800 to 900 people each year and has been put on by the Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce. Prior to the race, be sure to visit our vendors and sponsors who will be throughout the park.

Proceeds from the race each year are donated back out in the Plainfield and surrounding communities to non-profits and other organizations. In the history of the race, the chamber has been able to donate over $400,000.00 back to the community. Each year a Give Back Luncheon takes place in November where this happens. Thank you for being a part of something great!

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

Start and Finish Location:

Village Green Park - start line is at the corner of Fox River and Ottawa Streets.

Parking Locations:

Street parking east and north of Village Green Park.

Plainfield Central High School (24120 Fort Beggs Drive) - there is a sidewalk at the north end of the parking lot that will take you right to the race venue.

Plainfield Area Public Library (15025 S. Illinois Street).

Race Day Schedule:

7 to 8:45 AM - Bib pick up in Village Green Park

8:15 AM - registration for the Kidz Miler closes

8:30 AM - Kidz Miler begins

9:00 AM - 5K/10K registration closes

9:15 AM - 5K/10K race begins

10 AM - Awards Ceremony

10:30 AM - streets open to the public

10:30 AM to 4 PM - sweatshirt and packet pick up at DNA, 24210 Lockport St.

10:30 AM - post race party at Sovereign, 24216 W. Lockport St.

POST RACE PARTY

Please join us after the race at Sovereign located in downtown Plainfield (24216 Lockport Street, Plainfield, IL 60544) for our post-race party. Participants will receive a free beverage and food item until supplies last. Come and celebrate your success with your family and friends.

Join us for this year's JJC Foundation 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, October 5! Runners/walkers can participate virtually or in-person on our flat, paved course that weaves through Joliet Junior College's beautiful, scenic campus.

9:00 a.m. - JJC Foundation 5K Run/Walk

RACE DETAILS

• Chip-timing for in-person runners/walkers.

• Short-sleeve t-shirt and finisher's medal for all 5K participants.

• Stuffed animal and finisher's medal for all Kids Wiley Run participants.

• Age group awards for 5K.

• Team Award for group with most participants.

(If your child wants to run the kid's dash, and doesn't want the SWAG, they are welcome to run with us on race day for free!)
