Whether you’re a seasoned runner chasing a personal record or a family looking for a fun morning together, this event has something for everyone. The timed 5K offers a great opportunity for competitive runners, while the fun run/walk is perfect for participants of all ages and abilities who want to enjoy the course at their own pace.

Proceeds benefit Acts 4 Autism, helping to provide vital programs, resources, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by autism in our community.

    The Mayodan Lions Club will host “Strides for Diabetes Awareness, 5K and 1 mile fun run” to raise funds and awareness in our local community. The concept is simple, run or walk a 5K course and 100% of the proceeds from our fundraising will aid diabetes camp, low boxes, and donations to Rockingham County School nurses to assist diabetic students. This will give us a unique opportunity to discuss diabetes and the importance of improving our health through exercising and eating right, while also being able to bond as a community.
