Join us for the 8th Annual Tri For Fun race on Saturday, May 30th 2026 for this family fun event. We encourage all kids ages 5-15 to come out, and Swim- Bike-Run to the finish line. The swim takes place in our Olympic outdoor pool, and a run and bike through the surrounding neighborhoods makes this race a perfect event!

    What is Tri for Fun?

A family fun event to encourage youth ages 5-15 to participate in a Triathlon and HAVE FUN!

    Family Fun

From face painting to snow cones, this event will be a fun time for the whole family.

    Swag

Register by May 1st to guarantee your t-shirt. All finishers receive a Finishers Medal. Top female and male winners were awarded for 5-8, 9-11, and 12-15 age divisions.

Three Age Divisions: Ages 5-8, 9-11, and 12-15.

All participants will receive a medal commemorating the events. The top finishers will receive additional recognition and medals. To be eligible for top finisher awards the participant must complete the event without outside assistance. Examples of things that would disqualify an athlete from a top finisher prize include: not completing the entire distance in the pool, wearing of any flotation device, and physical assistance from parents while on the course. This is not to be seen as a complete list and ultimately a decision to DQ will rest with event officials.

Age Distances are based on recommendations by USA Triathlon. Click the "Course Map" tab to learn more.

    Race Training

We provide a Training event to make sure all children are ready to race. We will go over transition preparation, swim and bike safety as well as course overview! Stay tuned for more info.

    3rd Annual Let’s Make Pink Just a Color 5K & 1.5-Mile Fun Run/Walk

In Loving Memory of Brittany Kelley (Founder)

On Sunday, October 18th, we gather to walk, run, and rally , not just for a cause, but for the woman who made this cause matter.

Brittany Kelley, the founder of Let’s Make Pink Just a Color, passed away on September 28, 2025, after a courageous fight with stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer. She was a mother, a fighter, a community builder, and the heart behind this movement. This year's race is dedicated fully to her memory, her mission, and the impact she made on hundreds of lives.

    Her Legacy Lives On

What began as Brittany’s vision in 2023 grew faster than anyone could have imagined.

In year one, over 400 participants helped raise more than $38,000

In 2024, we surpassed $50,000, all of it staying right here to support local patients

Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to provide:

    Chemo port access shirts

    Surgical bras

Drain bulb shower and belt holders

And new in 2024: meals and weekend getaways to help families spend meaningful time together during treatment

Brittany’s dream was simple but powerful:

To make pink just a color again, not a symbol of pain or loss, but of love, hope, and healing.

This Year, We Run for Her

Join us as we walk and run in her honor. As we carry her message forward.

As we remind the world that pink doesn’t define us, people do.

Every dollar raised continues to go straight back into our local community, just like she wanted.

Let’s make this the most meaningful race yet.

Let’s make pink just a color, for Brittany.

Please note: This race will not be officially timed.

The Beaufort Lions Club is pleased to announce our 8th Annual Beaufort Bridge Run 5K Race and 1+ Mile Dog Strut on November 7, 2026, with the course going on and over the two bridges in Beaufort. These events are the only ones to feature both Beaufort bridges – the high-rise Gallants Channel (Grayden Paul) Bridge and the Turner Street Bridge. With this run/walk event, the Beaufort Lions Club will be starting our 2nd decade of fundraising road races. Previous events of this popular Fall race were the Glow Run in 2015 and 2016, the Front Street Gallop races in 2017 and 2018, the inaugural Beaufort Bridge Run in 2019 and 6 more BBRs starting in 2020 going through 2025, attracting hundreds of participants – running, walking and barking for charitable causes supported by the Beaufort Lions Club. The Beaufort Bridge Run is a ‘race destination’ for elite, casual and novice runners, literally giving the participants – locals and visitors – a spectacular view of our amazing town!

Dogs are only allowed to participate in the Dog Strut. No dogs allowed in the 5K on the high-rise bridge per the NCDOT!

Strollers are welcome in both events!

Remember, the first 200 to sign up will get a BBR2026 T-shirt! Register by October 5, 2026 to guarantee size. ONE SHIRT PER PAID PARTICIPANT. FREE T-SHIRTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR RUNNERS UNDER 12 YEARS OLD, but can be purchased separately in advance, if available. T-shirts must be picked up at early registration or race day. No t-shirts can be mailed pre- or post-race.

The legendary Backstreet Pub continues to be our official host of the Beaufort Bridge Run Post-Race Party! Beer, Mimosas, Bloody Marys, fabulous breakfast food from Turner Street Market and more! Thanks to Liz Kopf for all she does in support of the Bridge Run, the Lions Club and Beaufort!

The Beaufort Bridge Run is held in historic Beaufort NC, offering magnificent views of the town, Gallants Channel and Taylor's Creek. There is always plenty to do and so much going on in and around the "BeauZone". After the event, Bridge Runners/Walkers, friends and family can visit the Olde Beaufort Farmers' Market, open from 9:00am until 1:00pm, and stroll down Beaufort's beautiful, waterfront boardwalk and famous Front Street to visit amazing shops and restaurants, many of which are sponsors for the BBR2026. So, please, plan to spend some time after the race and see why Beaufort has been voted the Best Small Town in the South by Southern Living Magazine!

In addition to highlighting awareness of diabetes and its health effects, we are seeking sponsors to fund projects for several non-profit organizations that help people in our community, which includes Beaufort, Morehead City, Down East, Carteret County beaches and surrounding areas.

Our course is USATF certified and runners are chip-timed.
