    Just a 30-minute ferry ride off Hilton Head Island, SC lies Daufuskie Island. Haig Point, a private residential community on Daufuskie, hosts this ultimate event consisting of a half marathon or full marathon. This event is produced and owned by Run 4 a Reason LLC/ Rough Runners R4R INC.

    Runners will experience the all-inclusive running event, as soon as they step onto the island. The runners will be greeted with a morning cup of coffee, cinnamon rolls, and hyped entertainment to get you ready to run. Race through Haig Point, to Freeport, onto Church Rd, and then back into Haig Point along the beach. After your race, a catered picnic lunch and an assortment of beverages await you…including a cool beer provided you’re of legal drinking age. Additionally, each runner will receive high end swag and a finishing medal to commemorate your accomplishment. Take your medal to Jacy, a local artist, and she will engrave your finishing time while enjoying the after party. Chow down and listen to live entertainment with family and friends while you recover and enjoy your accomplishment.

    Palmetto Bluff is the best of the South Carolina Lowcountry. 20,000 acres that remain virtually undisturbed and home to some of the most beautiful trails in the Lowcountry. Join us for the annual Buffalo Run benefiting the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy. Featuring an all-trail course, this 10K, 30K, and 50K race is a tree-shaded combination of single track, dirt and gravel road trail. The Buffalo Run 6.2-mile trail winds deep into the ancient maritime forests of Palmetto Bluff. Don’t be afraid to get a little muddy — it’s all a part of the experience.

    30K and 50K Relay Teams. Gather your friends and compete in the 30K and 50K endurance races with either a 3-person team for the 30K or a 5-person team for the 50K.

    Packet pickup. Saturday 12/12. You can pick up your packets at Palmetto Running Company located at 25 Minetta Lane. Bluffton, SC 29910 from 1-5PM.

    Race Day Sunday 12/13. Gates opens at 5:30AM.

    50K and 50K Relay Race begins at 6:30AM.

    30K and 30K Relay begins at 8:30AM.

    10K Race begins at 10:00AM.

    Hydration and Fuel Stations. These stations are located midway and at the finish.

    Staging Area. Relay teams and 50K Runners are allowed to set up pop-up canopy tents and tables for the support team in their designated areas. This is a cup free race - there will be water stations on the course but please bring your own hydration bottles.

    Awards. Buffalo Run long sleeve shirts guaranteed to all participants registered before December 1st. Buffalo Run finishers medals for all 10K, 30K and 50K and Relay participants. All 50K individual finishers receive a Buffalo Head Award. Bronze Buffalo Awards to the overall 1st place male, female in each race and 1st place relay teams.

    After Party and Awards Presentation.

    The Buffalo Run After Party begins at 11:30AM. Live Music from Corn Bread. Each runner receives a free beer from a local Brewery and basket of buffalo wings.

    Run Across Georgia 2027 The 277.2-mile Run/Ride Across Georgia starts in Tybee Island and rolls through the plains of middle Georgia. The route is a gentle, sloping uphill trek along quiet back roads, finishing in Columbus, Georgia.Run Across Georgia is a huge fundraiser for our community.
