for just $100: * Group rides from slow rolls to high mileage and everything in between, lead by local riders who know the trails well. * Bike safety check to make sure your bike is ready to roll all weekend! * Free safety and mechanical classes * Vendor + Sponsor activities * Surprise bonuses * Free parking * Happy hour wine, beer + N/A options on Saturday provided by Mazza Winery and Five & 20 * Inspirational conversations with folks who are doing big things in mtb * Weekend camping * Outdoor shower * Bike wash * Deluxe toilets * Hydration provided by LMNT Note: Rooted has sold out in the past, and we don’t expect this year to be any different! We want to see you at the festival this July, so be sure to secure those tickets ASAP. ----- * ----- Other Important Rooted Details: >> This event is for women, non-binary and trans folks only While we do have supportive men helping us run booths and some clinics, they will leave the festival grounds after they are done working. Non-binary and trans

folks who are comfortable in a woman-centered setting are welcome and encouraged to join us at Rooted. (Also, in case it needs to be said: trans women are women.) >> Ages 18 and up are welcome and folks with all skill levels. Whether you are bike curious or like to get rowdy on the trails, there's something for you at Rooted. We love riders of all ages, but this event is for those 18 and older. You can expect to meet women ranging from 18 to 65+ at Rooted! Whether you’re new to mountain biking or are an experienced rider, there’s something for everyone at Rooted! Beginner riders can sign up for clinics to learn introductory skills from our top-notch coaches, get some experience riding beginner-friendly trails right on the festival grounds during scenic-paced group rides or easy nature rides, and enjoy plenty of off the bike fun as well! For our seasoned riders, we’ll have longer and faster group rides and skills clinics to help you level up your advanced trail maneuvers, jumps, drops, and

more! >> Skills clinic sign ups will be opened a few weeks prior to the festival this year. The clinic schedule will be available in advance to help you decide which one is right for you. >> Your weekend pass includes parking and camping You are invited to come set up camp as early as 10AM on Thursday, July 9th. Clinics will begin at 1:30 that afternoon. You can also join us for the Loud Performance shop ride at 6:00 PM. This ride is not an official Rooted event and will have men, women, and children of all skill levels present. It's a fantastic opportunity to explore the trails with local riders leading the way. >> Camping is primitive (In case you’re new to that outdoor life, welcome! Primitive camping just means there are no electric or water hookups. We encourage you to bring jugs of water and battery or solar powered lights.) You’ll mostly be set up in an open field with limited spaces available along a tree line. It gets really sunny and can get pretty hot during the day! The average

daily temperature is 78 with 62 degrees for the overnight average. There’s plenty of room to bring extra easy-up tents for your camping space. RVs, car or van camping, and travel trailers are all welcome at Camp Rooted. Camping may be primitive, but the festival bathrooms are deluxe and will be available all weekend. We ask that you tear down camp any time on Sunday the 12th. A note about valuables: The festival grounds are a safe place, but we recommend leaving valuables at home or locked up, as we are not responsible for lost or stolen goods. >> Food and Beverage There will be food and beverage vendors, but you are also welcome to bring your own to the event. Happy hour beer and wine will be provided at no cost to you by the generous support of Mazza Winery on Saturday evening. Friday night will feature evening bike rides and an alcohol-free happy hour. >> Bike Rentals If you’d like to rent a bike, we recommend contacting your local bike shop or Loud Performance (716-386-1171) ASAP to

secure a bike. Please be aware that rentals are limited and book up FAST! If you strike out with these options, send an email to [email protected] or post in the private Rooted Facebook Group and we will see if we can source a bike for you to rent. >> Please leave pets, children, and cis men at home. You are going to be having too much fun to give them the attention they need. Enjoy this “you time” to the fullest! Note: there are shop dogs, but they are super friendly and tend to stay near the bike shop! >> What’s the refund policy? You must purchase a weekend pass in order to attend any of the free or additional cost events at Rooted. There are no refunds allowed but you may transfer your ticket to another participant here on BikeReg if there is someone on the waitlist to buy your ticket. You can also sell your ticket to someone and give us their email address to update attendee information, we won't be participating in the financial transaction of offline sales, but need

participants info to be accurate. This is a rain or shine event. We are able to pivot a bit to still have a great event even if it happens to rain. >> What if Rooted sells out? When tickets sell out you can sign up for a waitlist ticket. You won’t be charged unless a ticket becomes available. The last date for waitlist tickets is June 30th. You must remove yourself from the waitlist ticket if you change your mind or you could be charged if someone requests to transfer their ticket before that date. ----- * ----- What is Rooted all about, anyway? Once upon a time (ok, 2020) Heather Kinal was craving a place to learn new skills and ride her mountain bike alongside other women. The only problem? Nothing like this existed within a ten-hour drive (or more!?) of her home in western New York. So she decided to create Rooted: an all-level women’s mountain bike festival built around skills, confidence, community, and nature. Now, in its seventh year, Rooted has become an event that women travel

hours to participate in – including from over 15 different states across the US and Canada. This year Justina Dore has taken on the role of Event Director and we are excited to watch Rooted continue to develop under her leadership. We have created a community that strives to destigmatize mountain bike culture and empower anyone who identifies as a woman, non-binary or trans person, of all body types, colors and abilities. Our values: * Safety - of the body, mind, and soul * Love - for self, for others, and for the space we occupy * Welcoming - of everyone who wants to be in the space * Open-Mindedness - to try new things, to meet new people, and to exit your comfort zone * Community - centering and sustaining the Rooted community, our local communities, and the international riding community ----- * ----- Ready to bask in the great outdoors, build your mountain bike skills, and meet your new best friends? It’s all waiting for you at Rooted: A safe, welcoming, empowering community for anyone

– of any body type or ability – who identifies as a woman, trans or non-binary person. The opportunity to level up your skills, education, and confidence – including group rides, maintenance clinics, and more. And last but not least: the time and space to escape the daily grind and get back in touch with yourself – think solo time, nature hikes, yoga, shopping, camping, and kicking back next to a nightly bonfire (marshmallows included). We can’t wait to see you there!
