Willow Glen 5K Run/Walk for Education

Hit the pavement on Saturday, April 25, 2026 in support of children's health and wellness at the 13th Annual Lumentum Heart & Soles Run! All 5K/10K registrations include:

• Short sleeve tech fabric race shirt

• Bib with professional race timing

• Exclusive 2026 finisher's medal

• Fast and scenic course around Santa Clara University

• Post-race refreshments

Founded in 2014, the Lumentum Heart & Soles Run is a 5K/10K race that takes place in the spring of each year. The scenic course circles around the beautiful campus of Santa Clara University and along nearby tree-lined streets. After the race, watch your kids (2-7 years old) in the Kids Run, visit vendor booths, and enjoy the celebratory atmosphere in the finish area.

Your registration supports local nonprofits that provide students with equitable access to exercise, nutrition, and well-being resources. In total, the event has raised nearly $1 million in support of children’s health and wellness. Event proceeds are donated to the following youth organizations:

• Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley

• Santa Clara County Office of Education

• YMCA of Silicon Valley

Om Run was launched in 2009 to bring the Bay Area Chinmaya Mission Family together. It is a fun filled day of outdoor activities for people of all ages. Om Run hosts more than 2000 people annually. It is the largest community building event organized by CMSJ. Om Run has evolved into a unique running event, in that, the focus is on community building with attractions such as pony rides, inflatable games, music and food along with a 5K, 10K and a 1/2 marathon race. Beautiful Vasona Park has breathtaking vistas and has hosted Om Run for the past several years.

Wonfel Aid is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. The

organization was established in response to the growing socio-economic challenges facing millions of Ethiopians. Its core focus areas include education, health, agriculture, and emergency assistance. Wonfel Aid provides humanitarian support to communities affected by conflict, displacement, and extreme vulnerability across Ethiopia.

Funds raised from the running event will support:

· Education initiatives for vulnerable children

· Health care and emergency relief for internally displaced individuals

· Assistance for children who have lost their parents

Bay Area Young Survivors (BAYS) is hosting its second annual Steps for Strength 5K at Campbell Park in Campbell, CA. The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with a health resource fair, followed by the 5K walk/run at 9:00 a.m. The 3.1-mile loop course is flat and scenic, winding through Campbell Park. Water stations will be available at the start/finish line and halfway point, with public restrooms at the finish. This 5K event will be a professionally timed race.

This family-friendly event features a playground, music, a food truck, face painting, and more fun activities for kids. After the race, enjoy participant medals, the health resource fair, and snacks. All proceeds benefit BAYS and its free programs for young breast cancer survivors.

ABOUT BAYS:

Bay Area Young Survivors (BAYS) is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting young breast cancer survivors under 45 in the San Francisco Bay Area by providing emotional support and resources for life during and after cancer. Funds raised will help fund free programming offered to members such as: support groups, educational workshops, community meetups, and emergency financial assistance.

LONGHORN STAMPEDE 5K RUN/WALK

Join us for Leigh's 10th Annual Longhorn Stampede 5K Run/Walk! The Stampede’s flat and USATF-certified course starts at Leigh High School and winds through surrounding Cambrian neighborhoods. The event will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026. This annual Stampede brings our entire community together – students, staff, parents, families, neighbors, friends, friends of friends, and local businesses. Whether you are a walker, casual jogger, or a distance runner, everyone is welcome!
