1 Miles 4.1 Miles 5k Run Walk

The Tom Schreiber Memorial 5K and 1 Mile celebrates Tom's lasting impact on the lives he touched. Tom served as the track and cross-country coach for over twenty years, first at Alliance High School (Alliance, OH) and then at Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights, Ohio. The proceeds from this event will be used to create a scholarship in Tom's name and be awarded to a senior track or cross-country runner from the Parma City School District.

The 5K and 1-mile events will each be chip-timed. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to participate. You can register for both distances, and your times will be combined to determine rankings for the combo category. The 5K course will feature split points at every mile and live participant tracking via The Last Mile mobile APP. The 1-mile course features a split at the half-mile mark. All runners will be treated to ice cream at the finish line - Tom's absolute favorite food!

Participants receive:

  • Ice Cream

  • Custom Finisher Medal

  • T-Shirt (while supplies last)

  • Sample products from CeraVe

  • Check out the awards tab for information about the prizes!

The Tom Schreiber Memorial Run will start and finish at James Day Park (Nike Park) in Parma, Ohio

The 10th annual Resiliency Run features a 5k run through the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The unfortunate truth is that traumatic and burn injuries are common in our community, but so are strength and recovery. The Resiliency Run was created to honor this strength and to acknowledge the extraordinary people - survivors and their loved ones - who are moving themselves from the worst days to the very best. This event also honors the caregivers who provide a steady hand of healing along the way. Funds raised will benefit trauma and burn survivors who come to MetroHealth for critical care needs as well as other healthcare needs.
