Pink Flamingo Youth Triathlon

The Tom Schreiber Memorial 5K and 1 Mile celebrates Tom's lasting impact on the lives he touched. Tom served as the track and cross-country coach for over twenty years, first at Alliance High School (Alliance, OH) and then at Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights, Ohio. The proceeds from this event will be used to create a scholarship in Tom's name and be awarded to a senior track or cross-country runner from the Parma City School District.

The 5K and 1-mile events will each be chip-timed. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to participate. You can register for both distances, and your times will be combined to determine rankings for the combo category. The 5K course will feature split points at every mile and live participant tracking via The Last Mile mobile APP. The 1-mile course features a split at the half-mile mark. All runners will be treated to ice cream at the finish line - Tom's absolute favorite food!

Proudly Sponsored by the Greystone Veterinary Hospital + Urgent Care, join us for the second annual Run for the Hills Cross Country 5K and 1-Mile Family Walk. The course will consist of grass, gravel, a short wooded trail, and occasional all-purpose paved trail opportunities. There will be entertainment during the race, plus food and drink offerings at 12 pm during our Home Days Event (Food trucks, beverages, rides, etc.). We hope to see you there!

Spectator Information

Spectators wanting to come cheer on runners/walkers will need to purchase tickets to enter the zoo.

Zoo membership does not allow you free entry into the zoo.

Ticket prices are to be announced. Spectators must purchase tickets on-line only at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Website (link below):

We are excited for you to join us for a 5k run and 1 mile walk to raise money and awareness for the University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital through our Foundation's Associate Board. The vision of the Associate Board is to be a highly visible and innovative volunteer organization of committed, creative and entrepreneurial young professionals who contribute to the long-term sustainability of UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital by generating awareness, involvement and development of leadership among the next generation.

Supporters

Supporter Wristband - $12 cash or check (zoo membership does not allow for free entry)

All supporters the age of 2 and over will need to purchase a $12 wristband (check or cash on site race morning) and must collect their wristbands prior to 8:30am from the registration table and enter the zoo by 11am. After registration closes at 8:30am and you have not received your wristband, you must go to the box office and purchase a regularly priced ticket.

Strollers are allowed but no dogs are permitted in the zoo.

5K Awards will be given to the top 3 men and top 3 women overall

REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS

Sorry, but all entries are non-refundable. Once we’ve received and processed your entry, you will not receive a refund, you may not give or sell your race number to other people, and entry fees are not transferable to the next year’s race or any other race.
