Welcome to the twelfth running of the Pelee Island Winery Half Marathon. Canada’s most Southern Half-Marathon takes place on a remote Lake Erie Island, ending at Pelee Island Winery.

This very exclusive event is limited to approximately 400 participants, who will enjoy the beauty of running around this pristine island, with Aid Stations and Port-A-John approximately every 2km. The course is very well marked and managed, as well as timed, surfaced with a mixture of pavement, gravel, and tar and chip.

Registration includes a Wine-inspired Recovery Shirt Long Sleeve Hoodie, an award-winning medal, bib, and a ticket to the best After-Run Party in running with Wine Tasting.

COVID has left the island with a significantly reduced inventory of rental cottages, BnBs, beds, and even camping spots. So now have an early boat leaving the Leamington mainland at 7:00 am the day of the race, so you can make the race!

THE PELEE ISLAND WINERY HALF MARATHON TRADITION IS THAT THE SHIRT AND MEDAL ALWAYS HAVE THE ARTWORK OF THE LABEL OF A PELEE ISLAND WINERY WINE.

Bring your, friends, and family, to stay the night and enjoy the run in the morning. The night before there will be plenty of dinners and parties going on around the Island, of which you will be notified. You can also buy extra tickets for your guests to join you at the Winery for an extravagant luncheon starting between noon and 1 pm. Adults are $65 and Kids under 11 years of age are $55 each.

THESE TICKETS ARE LIMITED SO BUY NOW, DO NOT WAIT, LUNCHEON TICKETS SELL OUT WHEN THE RACE SELLS OUT.

The race will take you on a journey through the Point Pelee National Park . At the southernmost point of the Canadian mainland, come experience nature like never before. Run/ walk Canada’s second smallest and most ecologically diverse national park. The course is a combination of road and trails, immersing yourself in an unforgettable experience. The course a 5K loop, 10k 2 loops ,15K 3 loops. Be sure to arrive early as it is 15 minutes from gate to visitors center. If possible car pool as parking is limited. Those in 15k must be able to finish in 2 hours. Though we love our furry friends and little children due to safety no dogs or strollers are allowed.

    Put yourself on island time! Make it a weekend getaway! The 43rd annual Kelleys Island 5 & 10K Run/Walk will be hosted by the Kelleys Island Chamber of Commerce on Sunday, May 31, 2026. The cannon goes off for the start of the races at 10:45 am from Memorial Park. Participants will enjoy a scenic island route along the lakefront and will be provided with water stations along the race route. After the race, it is time to... stay, play, explore, shop, dine, and relax around Kelleys Island.

    ** An early bird rate of $30 per participant will be available to those who pre-register online before midnight of April 30th.

    ** Register before midnight May 1st to be guaranteed a race shirt.

    In 2025 Molly Kearney, breakout star of Saturday Night Live and DMV, headlined the evening with a one-night-only comedy set at the Boathouse. Later, island staff take the stage and transform into fierce, fabulous performers during the high-energy Drag Show at the Round House Bar.

    Come early, stay late, and experience a day filled with laughter, love, and unapologetic pride—right here on the island.
