MATTS Garden Prairie Illinois Championship 20-30k TT

COURSE: 30 Kilometers, 20k Juniors, 65+ and ParaCycle, out and back relatively flat with a few rollers. Riders must ride on right side of road. Riders are only allowed to warm up on the north side of Rt. 20 away from the start/finish area. Start will be on Garden Prairie Rd. just south of Rt. 20. Course may be modified if road conditions warrant. Route 20 is a busy highway - careful crossing road. Roads are open to vehicular traffic

Please understand that the course is open to traffic so be careful particularly at intersections. Ride to the right side of the road.

We highly recommend using a rear red blinking light.

Back For 2026 - Road Bike Category – You can choose to race either TT Bike or Road Bike for all of the categories.Road Bike Definition - A road bike can possess drop or straight handlebars; no tri-bars, clip-on bars or Spinaci bars are allowed; no disc wheels; both front & rear wheels must have at least 12 spokes each; the maximum rim depth allowed is 90mm. Note: the spirit of this new Road Bike category is to encourage more participation in MATTS events by creating a more even playing field for racers who don’t have a TT bike. In general, if your bike would be eligible for a road race or a criterium, it would qualify for the Road Bike category. No “TT” Helmets.

Note - race day/on-site registration will be available for a $10 additional fee.

Medals 5 deep in each category.

Overall Fastest Rider 1st $30, 2nd $25, 3rd $20, 4th $15, 5th $10, 6th $10.

Overall Fastest Women 1st $30, 2nd $25, 3rd $20.

Overall Fastest Junior prize 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

DIRECTIONS: From I-90 Toll Road (southeast of Rockford, IL) Exit at Genoa Rd. (north).Take Genoa Rd north to Highway 20. Turn right (east) on Highway 20 to Garden Prairie Rd. Turn left (north) on Garden Prairie Rd, travel ¼ mile to SESI High Road Therapeutic School parking lot..
